A tour of most of the facilities at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho. The base has completely changed since the 70's and 80's. Great upgrades to housing, A new hospital and many other facilities. Enjoy

Wow amazing to see! I lived on base from 1964-1966, my husband flew B47's and I had our son at the hospital. Left when my husband went to Vietnam.

Thanks for sharing. My Dad was stationed there from 1963-67 where I graduated in 1967 from MHHS. As you came into the main gate, back then we lived in the housing on the right; Elm Street to be exact. Had lots of fun there!

I was stationed there 64-68. I was assigned to the 569th strategic missle squadron. Base is completely different. Not a fun place back then. I played on the base fast pitch softball team. We were very good and traveled to different bases to participate in tournament.

Mt.Home was my first base, I and My brand new 19 years old Wife arrived around July 4th. 1972. They were just getting the F111-F’s then. Absolutely the best 17 months of my life, ( I hunt and fish a lot), then I went to Utapao Thailand to load bombs on B-52s . (I was a 46250).

Do you still have the best MWR in the USAF? In the 90s is scheduled whit water rafting, fishing trips, and such for next to nothing. Great place to be stationed if you like the outdoor life style.
