This is a quick tour of an Axia Livewire (audio over IP) setup for a small college radio station This is a temporary location while the new studios are being built in the student union near by.

Do you need a license / have a dedicated frequency for the RTL?

Yes, in our case the STL (studio to transmitter) link is licensed on an assigned frequency that we have to renew every couple of years. Some people are moving to unlicensed wifi links but we have not done that and have no plan to at this time.
