Just moved to Cordova on Sunday. Been talking to people in town. The nicest people I have ever meant. What a great community

This was great! It brought back old memories. I was in the Coast Guard aboard Cutter Sedge in Cordova Jan 1963 to Jun 1964. Went thru the '64 earthquake, the big town fire, a few rescues, great hiking & fishing, & working in the cannery.

I used to live there, moved there from Hawaii and lived with my Grandma, right in the center of town. I loved it there, such a small quaint place. Everyone knew everyone...litteraly. It's sooooo funny to see the video and try to remember the in's and out's of where he was driving. It's changed.. thank you for this, I only came across it searching for someone that used to live there, a friend of mine named Darren. Thank you!!

I used to live there for all of my life but we moved to Kentucky and it was so hard leaving my friends and basically family! I always say to my parents we should go back but they give me this look. I miss everyone therd!!!

Cordova is an ok place, my wife was born there a week after the 1964 earthquake, I met her there in 1983, married in 1990. I fished on the flats from 1995-2012. Kind of miss that strange little town!

I worked at North Plant Fish Oil and Fertilizer Plant last year June-September 2011.I heard they will build a building for drying fish bones. I miss it there beautiful place to be and lots of nice people. And beautiful foreign exchanged students. I have family there too there last name is Tomines. Props on the video man.

Oh cool! I helped at the science center a month or so ago... Helped fix some RC submarine motors for the kids that do the science projects for skimming oil.

Cordova has increased in size about 10 times since I lived there in 1989.I was walking on one of the roads in this video and a truck came by. The told me they saw a bear and were driving to safety. Then they said "just wanted to let you know". "Thanks" i said. and then they drove off. say,,,,,whatever happened to "mounteain gene?"

I lived in Willow for 6 months. And wassilla for 1 month. I know live down in arizona. big change right. lol. i visited anchorage and kinda liked it. I am really planning on moving to alaska when i turn 18. where would you recommend i move? what city?
