Gondwana Chorale is Gondwana Choirs' national choir for singers aged 17-25. Many of these choristers sing professionally around Australia and bring a wealth of choral experience to the SATB ensemble. Chorale has performed widely in Australia and overseas.
This concert was filmed in January 2016 at the Concourse Concert Hall in Sydney. This concert is the culmination of a two week National Choral School, which includes Gondwana's other choirs and offers an intensive two weeks of rehearsals, performances and workshops with the leading figures in Australian choral music.

I've got to give a shout-out to the conductor! He knows his job: keep great time, have a good rapport with your ensemble, and don't draw attention to yourself!

Such a fun piece. I remembered singing this with National Youth Choirs of Great Britain several years ago and glad there's a recording.

The piece mentions Mike Brewer as arranger - almost certainly its the disgraced former UK National Youth Choir director, a huge musical talent although he betrayed his position - jailed for a sexual offense with a minor. Look for his arrangement of Hamba Lulu, african song, also brilliant.

Quand je bois du vin clairet Ami tout tourne, tourne, tourne, tourne. Aussi désormais je bois Anjou ou Arbois.
