Definitely a young person rig. Things that are taken for granted and you may not appreciate at first are a shower and toilet. I mentioned this cause we were going this route and at the last minute for a number of reasons, went with a 18' off-road nucamp t@b 400 boon dock light trailer. First, it was way cheaper; price tag went from $140,000 to $30,000. Second, we got a shower and bathroom. Third, solar and three way fridge (solar, electric, propane) gave us the same boon dock capability as the Sprinter we were looking at. Of course, whenever we see a Sprinter we ask ourselves "what if". A few months ago while camping, we woke to see a beautiful custom Sprinter parked across the road from us. Once the occupants were up, we had to stop by for a chat. The Sprinter was beautiful, had everything we had wanted, minus the indoor shower and toilet (basically a small wet bath). They did have an outdoor shower hookup. Our wives began chatting over wine (hey, it's 5pm somewhere, don't judge) and eventually walked over to our small trailer. Our 400 is 18' but that's tip of tongue to back. There is actually only 15' of living space that provides queen bed, kitchen, separate dining area, and wet bath. About 30-mins later our wives return and the first thing the Sprinter wife said was "I so regret not getting some sort of indoor toilet". She told her husband they should have saved money and looked at an off-road trailer. We all laughed and were reminded of the old saying "Trailer pullers are envious of self drives and self drives are envious of trailer pullers". Each has pros and cons. All of this said - WOW that rig is nice.

Sickest off-road sprinter van in existence! Well thought out! Made to use. This machine will last for years! 20 years from now it will still be cool! That’s how you build a vehicle that you can actually use and off road in. Camp in spots where other vans can’t reach.

Badass rig. Seems to me the cook top could have been moved for ther left to make just a litter use of the space, but I'm not complaining. Love where the shower/toilet is as opposed to where they put it on the stock revels.

That’s amazing. I love the solar setup and water capacity. The Dana 60’s and Atlas are super tough. Very neat rig but as an underpaid paramedic it way out of my price range because if it wasn’t Id take it and vanish into the desert till all this virus shit goes away. 😊

I found the host’s name Levi amusing, as that’s what I named my 2018 Sprinter 3500 HD back when I got it new, though In my van’s case it’s short for ‘Leviathon’. It’s a work rig for my plumbing company though, not an adventure van.

Certainly waaaaaaaaaay out of my price range, but I like seeing that someone has addressed the woefully inadequate drivetrain of the Sprinter.. If one wants to actually use one of these vans on rough terrain, that should be the first step.. Most of what's available, are cosmetic mods, that granted, look great, and if you're never leaving the pavement, then fine. But, if you're going to step off the beaten path in a sprinter, without addressing these weaknesses, then you might want to add free towing to your insurance policy.

A few questions : Does anyone know the actual size of the Sprinter and is it a 4x4 to start with or does someone convert it? Secondly, what sized van should you get for a Bruce Banner or is that up to the customer? Also, is there a provider that takes care of the complete transformation from basic Sprinter van to complete Bruce Banner? I've asked this question to a few providers and they only do parts of the conversion and NOT ALL of it. Is there someone out there that does the complete job after receiving the vehicle?

Some dude: I have a Leatherman Wave as part of my everyday carry. This dude: .....wanna check out my cupholder? Story goes a bit like this. I had this cupholder. Then I thought, what if I added a chassis and some big wheels to the cupholder? Then I asked myself - what if I also added an engine to the cupholder so that it could spin the wheels in a 2 or 4 WD configuration via a hi-low gearbox? Then I thought, what if we enclose the cupholder and the extras with a box to keep the cupholder out of the weather? I then wondered what would happen if I fitted the cupholder with a kitchen, bed, bathroom, seats, steering wheel and storage solutions inside the box already fitted to my cupholder? And then I pondered if the cupholder would be even better if I fitted solar panels, battery banks, water tanks and cups...in a fashion that allows my cupholder to itself be equipped to make a damned fine cup of coffee for the cupholder? This is how to build a mighty practical cupholder as part of an everyday kit.
