Touring Columbia, NYU, Yale, and Harvard Law (vlog) | Journey to Law School

Күн бұрынAlright this video is a doozy! We are touring four more law schools including Columbia Law, NYU Law, Yale Law, and Harvard Law School. I started in New York at CLS and then NYU, which honestly was such a great time seeing friends and exploring the city. Then I went to New Haven on my own and toured YLS which was such a culture shock going from such a large city like NY. I finished my tours at in Boston/Cambridge at HLS and unfortunately couldn't find the tree Elle Woods sits at after class, but the school was still amazing. It has been so fun to share my journey to law school with you all and as always be sure to like, subscribe, and comment. My DMs are also open if you have questions or ideas for future videos. They are all so amazing so I feel you on that. I would love to get in to these as well! Hahaha. I just submitted my applications for them this week so I’m hoping to make more videos on my admissions results and what I included in my applications down the road to help. Is there anything specific you were looking for to help make your decisions about schools?

Yah! I am actually still waiting to hear from most of my schools but the things I will be looking at when it comes to making the final decision will be scholarships, location (for myself and my partner since they will be moving with me for school), and the experiential opportunities the school provides such as clinics and externships. Scholarships is mostly a logistic thing since I am putting myself through school so need to be mindful of how I will finance my studies. Location matters to both my partner and I as far as where we will be able to work, what the surrounding culture is like, especially towards queer people, and being somewhere that offers opportunities for some sort of work life balance. Finally, the experiential opportunities are what I believe will bring me the most clarity for post grad work and my focus in school since I am still very open on the type of law I practice, but I want a school that will equip me with the practical skills in addition to the theoretical understandings of the law. I'll make a video in a few months once I get all of my decisions on how I went about making my choices, but currently those seem to be some of the most important aspects.
