While I haven't test ridden the Tracer I have tried the MT-07 and if I were to chose between the CP2 Engine and the 660 Tripple in the tiger I would chose the tripple every time. I found the engine breaking on yammy's twin to just be too high. The lower gears felt quite jerky to me with the high low end torque and the high engine breaking combined, i ended up using the clutch to smooth things out at lower speeds allot more than i was used to coming from my 125. Whereas on the Tiger, especially with the quickshifter, I can have the clutch fully out as low as 5mph and already have very smooth power delivery. But then when you roll in you still get the best in class overall power, she will absulutely fly out of a corner if you ask her to. While being very composed at the same time. I am absolutely in love with the Tiger. But if you have the opportunity to, see if you can get a couple test rides, everyone is different. You may prefer the punchier low-end of the CP2 engine in the Tracer. There's also how well the bike fits you urganomically to consider. When I was looking I personally also found there to be a much wider selection of additional equipment available at Triumph to be fitted as standard. I have Heated Grips, Quick Shifter, Alarm, Panniers and paddock stand bobins fitted fromt he dealership on mine. And purely subjectively, I abosultely love the way the Tiger looks. The only real critisism I have is that the windshield is laughably pointless. In its highest position it barely keeps the wind off of my chest, let alone my helmet. And in the lowest position it is like it isn't even there haha. I do wish one of the official accessories was a bigger "touring" windscreen. But yeah as I said, test ride if you can! Both are fantastic well-regarded bikes. :)

Yeah I got the 1st party triumph quick shifter, it's been excellent! Whether you just want to be lazy while riding in traffic and shift without the clutch or when you're dropping the hammer it gives you nearly instant smooth shifts really effectively!
