These tourists had terrifying brushes with danger while on vacation. In 2018, a man on a safari in Tanzania was shocked when a cheetah jumped into his jeep. In 2019, Kristen Yaldor was lucky to be alive after being attacked by an angry hippo. In 2018, a couple scouting destination wedding locations in Mexico were held at gunpoint and kidnapped. Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall has more.

México is actually pretty safe, specially in some touristic or big cities. I mean, i have never been robbed. I have never seen someone getting robbed. Never been in a life threating situation. So, unless you live in Japan, Switzerland, Netherlands or the Nordic countries, México Is pretty much as dangerous as your country.

I am Mexican, and I was born there but I reside in the USA, tourists need to realize that you have to do research on the country you want to visit and to remember that every city has a shady part of town, not just in Mexico but here in the USA too. It was a cartel that patroled the area and saw potential enemies/spies so they hopped out ready to blast but when they found out it was just some fruity boys they were like nah your car is not worth taking since they want trucks and they have more money than the tourists so they don't care about jacking them. They probably laughed their asses off when they left of how scared they were. To be honest they ran into a chill cartel member because some cartels aren't so nice as to calm them down. Others would pistol whip beat them up good or even kill one before letting them go. They went into territory their not suppose to be in.

The guys in Mexico I’m going to assume they were probably a group of good men trying to protect their families and community. If they were actually apart of a cartel or whatever group they would not have let them go the way they did. Plus they didn’t ask for anything and warned them not to go any further. They also didn’t sound aggressive once they figured out the guys weren’t there for anything other than to take pictures.

Yeah no way would I get in a canoe on a river in any country in Africa. I went to Tanzania in 2015 and we stayed in our landrover safari car most of the time. Anytime we got off the guides had guns to shoot any potential threats (wildlife), and the one night we ate “in the bush” we had numerous armed guards on duty in case an animal did try to approach or attack someone. Thankfully it was uneventful but I wouldn’t even take that unnecessary risk.

My family and I did a safari in South Africa when I was young. Our guide stopped the Jeep about 30 yards from an elephant that was pushing a tree down. The elephant suddenly turned toward us and began flapping his ears and stomping. The guide threw the Jeep in reverse and prepared to flee in case the elephant charged. He did. I was impressed at how well the guide was able to drive backwards. The elephant got within about 10 yards of us and stayed that close for a minute or so before finally retreating. It was a bit scary, but really neat. We did encounter some lions chilling, but they showed no interest in us.

@@SA-de4lc I wasn't sure what to expect when we went, but I'll tell ya, seeing animals like that in their natural habitat is pretty exciting. There's just something so different about it. We also went on a night safari and encountered a cheetah that had dragged an Impala up into a tree and was eating it. There were hyenas circling the base of the tree waiting for scraps to fall. Just the raw, unbridled power of nature is so much more powerful than seeing caged animals with handlers. You guys can possibly atleast go to a border town in Mexico to atleast get a grip of the life and culture over there. I live in a Border town in Texas called Del Rio, It's near the city of Uvalde. I've only been around twice to the opposite border town, but when you cross that border from the U.S. to Mexico, there is a HUGE difference in the land, and the way the city looks compared to my home town. If there's two things I gotta love about Mexico, It's their food and Culture. And you can experience that just across the border. I wouldn't dare go farther into Mexico due to the cartels.

I'm am happy that all of them survived their ordeal. God bless! That jersey in the last video tripping an elderly woman God will pay him back for that. God does not like ugly! I'm so glad that she was all right ❤️
