A great group, one of the best horn sections of all time, and one of the great disciples of James Brown. Try their "So Very Hard To Go" for another great ballad, and try them doing "What Is Hip" for their real funky side where the horns really get to shine.

Proud of you young man for choosing some classic soul and R&B. They don't make music like this anymore!

They have one of the best Brass sections in the music industry, one of the hottest groups of the 70’s , fire songs with Lenny Williams singing lead, before he went solo, you can’t go wrong reacting to this band…..

Great group from the early 70’s. Try listening to “So Very Hard To Go” and the upbeat “What Is Hip”. If you like this, then you should hear another group from that same period called Blood, Sweat, and Tears. If you react to them , suggest “I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know”. I think you’ll get a kick out of their soul and productions.

This is a TOP standard a song they have been doing live since 1972. The story behind it is band leader/founder was in love with a girl a few years older than him and when she broke up she said those exact words "you're still a young man baby don't waste your time"!

Glad you appreciated this great song so much! I was a young teenager when it first came out, and I loved it then, and so it warms my heart to see a young guy like you in 2023 reacting to it the way you did. Cheers!

See Jack..your reaction to this this is what music back then did to people. Imagine this type of music on the radio on the radio day in day out. All to change the station to a different genre to be marvelously affected again.

Omg, this legendary band! I was with them on a Smooth Jazz cruise when they were a special guest on the lineup, man they were fire 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!!! One of my favorite of them i love is “Boys of the Bay”, very Funky, because they are a Soul, Funky band!! Please make sure to view the actual video with some former band members being the lead. They are mostly all horns and I believe consist of 10 members. This year they are celebrating 55 years and touring world wide. They will be on the line up of the Soul cruise, leaving from your area Florida, next Jan 27, 24 for a week. You would be the first one to view this track, have recommended this to numerous KZfaqrs, you will see how they would follow. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏please you would be happy you did!!
