Really enjoying what you're doing here. Was skeptical about hauling a car until seeing your video. Truck pulls amazingly well. Much better than anticipated. Also better than the Colorado I used to own.

People always are suprised by little trucks. We forget in the 1990s trucks were v8 at the size of these trucks and less tk same power in half tons
@Nick-ue7iw

Nope. In the 90s, full size trucks were the same size they were today. 1991 F-250 extended cab long bed was 80" wide and 20 feet long. A NEW f-250 extended cab long bed is.....80" wide and 20 feet long.

Trailer is over 2k lbs and that cab config should start at approx 3700 with most closer to 4k depending on year. Mileage seems about right but the display is often optimistic. Good run!

Would you tow max weight over 300 miles?

The springs are good. I got a 2023 Pro 4 X and it is about the same. If you tow more often You can get air bags that protect the springs and save you $$ on new Bilstein shocks that are four hundred $$ a piece.

I have a 2022 Nissan Frontier with 4WD. Red just like yours. This video was super helpful. You can also tow a pretty big boat too. Thank you! The only thing with the springs is did you go over the max tongue weight? That might have been why the springs flattened a bit.
@4wdAdventurz
@4wdAdventurz 3 ай бұрын
I'm not sure what the weight was. Normally it's about 10% of the trailer is the tounge weight. Maybe a hair more with that trailer..

@@crisikingfulExactly! I'm waiting right now for my RcKilla lift on the FedEx truck. All the firewood I haul back to my house for winter helped me decide to boost my rear leafs to be able to withstand heavy loads occasionally.

@@4wdAdventurzdid you notice worse breaking or less towing capacity with that lift and tires? How bad is mpg now if before the tires and lift it was at 15.5? Thanks
@4wdAdventurz
@4wdAdventurz 8 ай бұрын
@@ethanguidry312 since I've added the 6" lift and 35's I actually haven't towed anything other than my tiny camp(800lbs dry). So I can't really speak on towing but breaking definitely is noticably worse. I mean, it's not terrible. It's still drivable and performs fine on the road but offroad, going down a steep decline or a sharp drop off, she's hurtin for sure. I know Z1 is coming out with a larger set of rotors and calipers for the D41 in 2024 so I'll be looking into those for sure. As far as the mpg it's basically the same maybe 14.5-15 city and 17hwy. It's not terrible..
