Love my shocker hitch. Have had mine for about 15 years. Used it daily for about 10 years hauling large trailers. Mine was the 2 1/2" receiver hitch setup. Its great because when you air it up to the bumps every 10psi ='s 100 lbs tongue wieght. So I was always able to know how much tongue wieght I had. Great buy especially compared to other air hitches. I even had my green urethane bumps melt after about 10 years in Florida sun, and I emailed shocker to buy replacements and they apologized and sent me new ones free. Great customer service, great hitch.

When you said “I’ll take you back in the cab with me” I shed a small tear. Something about hearing that truck from the outside is so much sweeter than in the cab. Still sounds good either way!

Stumbled on your channel this morning. Thanks for the demo of that shocker hitch. You did a great job of with video and audio. I have two goose necks similar to yours that I pull with F-350 diesel. Ok , now let’s see a gen-y review, 100% unbiased review This shocker looks really good, and I agree a plumbing kit with a remote would be awesome I know how I would set that plumbing up , I bet shocker already has a patent on a system ( there is a compression compensating modulater on a TFL truck trailer review) I sure as hell wish I had a shocker hitch, when I was driving on rough corrugated ranch roads and even crappy state high way roads like New Mexico

For the auto fill from the cab for your shocker hitch you could ziptie air hose to the 7 pin wiring to run up to the hitch and put a quick connect by the 7 pin connector at the bumper of the truck then just leave the hose with the trailer and connect the air to the bumper when you need it.

It really needs a constant air supply and leveling valve that big trucks have on the cab and axle bags and you won't have to keep screwing with it. The leveling bar once adjusted right will keep it adjusted accordingly.

You want your 5500 to ride nicer? Put a Kelderman 4 bag system on the rear axle. I have the self leveling system on my 5500. It ride almost a nice unloaded as it does loaded. Rides better than all my old trucks even the 3/4 ton. No issues with the system either. I did my 1st big trip by doing 500+ miles in Death Valley. More than 1/2 of that was off road.

In cab control is easy, single way in cab control for airbags run the line to the hitch well in the bed put a air chuck on it .use a class8 fifthwheel airslide release hose from the airbag. Also put your 7way in the hole that's provided in the well and get that ugly line off the deck

I use a low pressure high flow regulator in my cab for my on the fly onboard air adjustment of my airbags. You could do the same with the Shocker. A quick disconnect near the hitch area on the flatbed. Or put a sticker in the cab of each piece of equipment with the proper Shocker pressure. That way when you load it you have the number right there. Load and pressurize.

Great idea with an in cab air management for your fifth wheel and couldn’t find anything online with that idea? So after little bit more homework just go to eBay and search for 2 sensor digital air pressure gauges. I found several of them just under $50 with the sensors and the next thing you would need is a couple electronic dump valves for air. Again searching on eBay is many different options for under $20 unless you want to spend a little bit more of something you know about. Where the air fitting is on top of the bag I would put a 90° elbow to a small ball valve so you can disconnect the trailer with the bag still inflated. From that valve some kind of flexible tubing that can hold up to the weather conditions and wear and tear? Into the first T fitting for a dump valve for the purpose of deflating the bag and then into another T fitting for the pressure sensor. The final T fitting would be for your refill valve from your air supply . The second pressure sensor could be for your main air source tank? I think with all the fittings and everything you should build the do it for about $100 or so? With the digital air pressure gauge it would save you on running an airline all away to the cab. One toggle switch to turn that system on and a second toggle switch for inflating and deflating the bag. I’ve seen many air rights systems on vehicles and this is not much different than that good luck and this is only an idea which I think is a good one and thanks for another great video.

Parts list for inside cab: 2-way toggle switch (up=add/down=dump) 2 electric over air solenoids (1=add/1=dump) digital air gauge Parts list for outside cab: Fittings & Airline Stainless Steel quick coupler Ball valve ••••mount in easy access area (Need a BV because SS QC doesn't have a valve to stop air from escaping when uncoupled) Good luck🤙🏽🔫🇺🇸🔫🇺🇸🔫🤙🏽
