My 6th Grade Math teacher was one of these toxic people along with several others. She actually banged on my desk because she felt I wasn't finishing a test fast enough (I was completely focused and NOT goofing off in ANY way). I almost said (but thought better before I did), "Lady, how can I finish faster if you're barking at me and banging on my desk?"

Im in my 20s now and i just did that...im scared but those same people who taught me core values of self love and respect as well as respect and care for others turned on me when i revealed i am trans and im hurting...thank God i have my own apt. I feel the same, but tbh I struggle with guilt when I realize I need to separate myself from certain people...people who I actually love. I don't want people to get the perception that I think I'm better or prefect because I'm far from that. I just want to be a better person.

So true. I remember growing up listening to old skool hip hop and how the lyrics were respectful and the women had on modest clothing and then when Gangsta rap hit the scene it was a slow gradual decline to the crap 💩 we have today. Kids drinking lean and popping pills 💊 all because some unrefined rapper got a contract. What you eat physically, visually and what you listen to does effect your mental health and disposition.

Krystal Wirth I lost my mother 10 years ago she died. I would give up everything to spend another 10 minutes with her just to ask her for her forgiveness for any bad I may have done to her and tell her I love her and miss her. You don’t know what u got till you lose it. Nothing can replace your mother. Turn to Allah (God) and beg him to improve your relationship with your mother. Don’t ever turn your back on the one who carried you and raised you. We owe our lives to god and our parents. I would give away all my wealth to spend an extra 10 mins with my mother. May Allah guide you.

@@ajmanny7950 A parent can damage an entire life. That's facts. Most of the time, the parent herself was damaged by her own parent(s) during childhood. Narcissistic parents can be toxic for one child's life and sometimes, the best solution is to cut ties, for a moment at least. Sometimes a mother and son or daughter relationship is so destructive that the only way to keep your mental health stable is to cut ties. For a brighter future.

K9 1 easier said than done, I have tried so damn many ways to change their mentality. Their mentality is so bad that whenever I do gymnastics (the only thing that makes me forget about the environment) they say it's not good for health regardless of what they say I do it everyday though and about 'cut the fam' thing I am going to do that when the time comes like I am freakin' 15 now

I learnt this valuable lesson all by myself because I used to have myself surrounded with the wrong people who I thought were my friends, they made me think that I was annoying, ugly, disgusting, you name it, they made me think that I wasn’t good enough. I knew that there had to be an explanation of why everyone hated me so much, it was because they thought I was “weird” and I had made some mistakes. But then I realized how many talents I have, and that I wasn’t born to please everyone. To be honest it’s impossible for me to tell you how proud I am to be myself, I want to prove to all my haters that I wasn’t a “loser”, they keep doubting saying that I won’t go far, *but I’ll go so far to a point where I can’t hear their lies*

They mocked me and pissed on my dreams and then told me I was a scourge on the family name and my parents were ashamed of me b/c I wanted different things than they wanted. I decided I'd rather walk alone through the world than twist myself into someone I didn't recognize just so they could feel safe/superior. I haven't regretted that decision in the past decade since I made it.

This is so on time! After the disaster a relative pulled on me on Christmas, they are no longer allowed in my life. I am not going to allow them or anyone else make me become who I don't want to be. Thank you so much for this and the courage to remove them from my life.

I was people pleaser when i was younger. People keep saying to me that my priority should be getting married and be like all other average people. If you find a person who will not toxicate your life.. then marry. Sometimes it's hard to know, pray to God to make things clear. If you have a good heart, you will know en eventually feel it. Some people don't see you as their lovely partner but rather an acceptable alternative for the one before you fitting their desires, could be the desire of an undemanding woman/man, an calm person, your wealth, your energy.. people can be demonic these times, as demons are energy absorbers, as the Holy Quran mentions: be aware of the devils in human shape! Keep your prayers and the link with the creator steady, don't sin, if you have problems, hold firm in belief and prayer, as the demon which leads you to sin will flee away from your body (brain). This will open your mind and let's you see clear and understand the movements of people. Avoid toothpaste and water with fluoride, as this calsifies your brain (pineal gland).

Your situation same as me. I'm was also people pleaser. My parents and other people on surrounding me always take advantage on me because they said that I so nice and I can't say no to them.When I stand up and speak up about they behavior towards me, they said I to sensitive and think so negative. And right that moment I think I don't need them,and right now I just focus only on me and learning something that I don't know. I don't wanna said sorry about my english writing because I 'm so confident in me even I made some mistake and i' m not native speakers.

I always have BIG respect for people who has courage to stand up for themself, and not following the crowd. That you have actually your own mind. My friend got married because their parents forced to. He didn't have courage to say NO! now he looks much older and depressed and joy of life doesnt exists for him.

I used to suffer that in my entire life! By the definition you offer, everyone I know is toxic. I've known this for years. They are not the people I want in my life, but I seem to attract them, like a magnet. I put people out of my life more than I am comfortable with, however necessary. It messes with my creativity. The most they have accomplished is slowing me down. None has stopped me.
