Chris A. Knobbe, MD speaks with Dr. Osborne about seed oils - defining what they are and what they are not. In 2011, Dr. Knobbe experienced a significant improvement in his arthritis after changing his diet, which led him to explore the connection between nutrition and chronic diseases. He discovered the work of Weston A. Price and realized that processed foods were driving chronic diseases.
Driven by his passion for data, Dr. Knobbe focused on studying the impact of vegetable oil consumption on obesity and chronic diseases. He found correlations between vegetable oil consumption and the rise of obesity and diabetes.

I agree with the statement that was made, eating foods we get plenty of omega 6, not to supplement that one. If we eat a proper diet, we shouldn’t need supplements for 3. This was great information and very eye opening. Thank you.

Happy to say I've not touched it for decades, apart from when I eat out..which I'm trying to avoid. I favour butter, ghee, olive oil, coconut..all organic. Thank you both !

I completely agree with all of this, except that our ancestors "didn't get a lot of omega 3". Grass fed animals, either wild or domestic, are full of omega 3.

I don't agree that you shouldn't supplement with Omega 3s. ☹️ We need Omega 3s and a lot of well known and respected cardiologists agree. Our oceans and such are so polluted. 🥺

WHAT is good for deep frying ?
@BeachBum71261
@BeachBum71261 2 ай бұрын
Not sure what you are deep frying but I’ll suggest switching from deep frying to a little extra virgin olive oil or another option and bake or bake and broil. Add some good seasoning and you have something great in the end in a healthier way

Deep frying necessarily uses cheap seed oil because you have to use a huge amount to deep fry. Probably better off shallow frying in tallow, mild olive oil, or refined coconut oil. Maybe lard but I think it is much higher in pufa. Lots of people will say not to fry in olive oil because of the low smoke point but olive oil is traditionally what Mediterranean people have fried with forever and as long as you're not eating fried food daily it's probably not a problem.
