In this video, Petrus Siregar from Chung Yuan Christain University will introduce how to conduct toxicity assessment in earthworm by using a novel locomotion tracking assay. All of the tested neonicotinoids, especially in the high dose, reduced earthworm locomotion. Each neonicotinoid altered earthworm behavior differently. Thiametoxam was shown to induce the least pronounced behavior toxicities in earthworms. Most of the tested neonicotinoids have a relatively high binding energy to AChBP.
