Buzz Zone is a great new hybrid synth for desktop and iOS by Toy Box / Toybox that is much deeper than it looks at first sight. This is a detailed walkthrough and review. I will add timestamps later when I get time, but this walkthrough covers almost everything from the manual, with plenty of audio tweaking along the way. Enjoy! Buzz Zone is a boutique performance-oriented synth with a rich set of features, cutting edge DSP and a streamlined modern interface for endless inspiration and experimentation

9 Powerful multi segment envelopes, one for each of the 9 main controls, with an intuitive ‘auto curve’ function

Another thing I didn’t mention is that this app has quite a good workaround for the annoying iOS sandboxing of important files like user presets - I recommend looking at the manual for more info on that. The way Toybox have handled this is something other devs could learn from, I feel.

I posted that, then realized it did not mention giveaway anywhere, but was too lazy to change it. Plus I figured, maybe I missed the mention of it, so if I just leave it that way I’m covered, lol. Yea I noticed you were moving those towards the patreon, and that’s totally understandable. In fact it’s probably a wise decision. I realize the amount of work you put in more than most, and I still don’t truly understand how much time and effort actually goes into each video. From learning the app, writing a script, to shooting the video, editing, etc… it’s no doubt a lot of work, a lot of time, and you deserve fair compensation. If I had the money I’d be a patreon member too. Hopefully I’ll be able to support you financially in the near future. Cheers man, keep up the great work.

Actually, there's so much more goes into this than ppl realise, and one of the main things is just checking out apps and then deciding, nah, I'm not going to make a vid on this. Or also things like just playing around to come up with Audio that works for examples. Code giveaways are also actually a completw pain in the ass to administer. I don't even think they're helpful for the creator at a certain point. If ppl are just clicking on a vid to write a comment, but not watching, that could actually damage your channel's performance. So yeah, kind of wish I had dropped the YT giveaways years ago tbh. Hope your well, cheers!

Tell em to add an on screen Shift button for the Ctrl fine knobs! Are the tweaking knobs parameters exposed in AUM?

An onscreen shift button is such an obvious idea, was thinking about that after I made the vid, so I wonder if there is some technical reason they didn't add it. Tweaking knob parameters are all exposed, sure

Does anyone know if the synth will be released for iPhone as well? I think i will not be buying any iPad only apps anymore since it breaks my mobile workflow. Not being able to quickly make some changes or work on some ideas on my phone doesn’t feel right anymore.
