In 1989 Toy Dolls was the first CD I ever bought - because I couldn't find them on cassette. Then I had to go out and buy a CD player for $300! I was a senior in high school and had a part-time minimum wage job. Totally worth it! Wish I could have seen them perform live! .

Great band with a great sense of humour...and even though they're hamming it up in this performance, the chops needed to play this are extremely high! Awesome!

First live band I ever saw supporting the Angelic Upstarts in Huddersfield in the very early 80’s as a 14yr old school kid,, they will always have a place in my heart cos they where better than the band I loved

Both bands are Sunderland & South Tyneside lads. Being a Sunderland teenager when the bands were at their peak used to go & see them all of the time great days

Always remember, if a band sounds good live, they are good, maybe not your taste, but they put their work. Its not easy to make a band work. Lots of respect

@manolo2121 Excellent point. And, especially when seeing a band live that is maybe not my taste, I always find at least one player who blows me away and I may just focus on that instrument the whole show, still leaving happy and impressed.

Yes you are right - classical composers and metal/punk are closer than you might think - it is said Mozart was a vulgar man - well he would have loved electronic instruments I am sure of that and he would have loved performances like this

I'm a big Toy Dolls fan, and Toccata and Fugue in D Minor is one of my favorite classical pieces, so you just now I had to check this out! Even better than The Adicts' version of Beethoven's Ode to Joy. I saw The Toy Dolls once over 20 years ago, and I wish they would come back to The U.S. (It was the One More Megabyte tour)

He is pretty skilled. I don't know how good he is, but I have met a couple of good ones. On guy Jim Hornsby, could listen to a tune once and just play it, another Tommy Emanuel will need you to hold onto your socks because he can knock them off. Both very accomplished session players, best ever is always a long bow to draw. I think Olga was an incredible entertainer.
