Slinky dog was originally voiced by the Late Jim Varney in the film two films. After Him, his Friend, Blake Clark now does the voice of the character. Blake Clark is still alive to this day.

You should do a slinky dog with one of those extra long slinky’s. My old science teacher had a slinky that was like a foot long (coiled) and 20 feet long when stretched out. It’d be cool to see a slinky dog with one of those incorporated into it

worked perfectly, thank you so much bud, I apologize if I asked too many question's, once when I recoiled the new slink in I put the super glue gel on the part of the metal and plastic and now it sticks, only problem is if you pull really really hard on the slink out the the place where u super glued, like how u did with his ears but I think thats normal. Anyways thanks bud =D

Mostly I do these things for display purposes and not for play. If people plan on handling the toys too much this probably won’t do too well over time so do what works best for you. I’m happy to help. This mod worked for me just fine.

@TodayIGrewUP when I pop the back open there is a place on the plastic that holds the slink with hot glue 2:22, does it work if I remove the slink and then put the new slink in the plastic holders and put super glue on it on the holders and then super glue the plastic back to the toy instead of what u do in 4:22. In 4:22 does the slink slip since u did it that way?

Yes go for it.. this worked for me. I use gorilla gel super glue so it’s better than regular super glue because of the “gel” component.

It seems maybe you need this version of slinky, I haven’t tried it on the talking version. I can imagine the electronics are in the way. I wouldn’t mind trying it for an experiment maybe I will one day on this channel. Luckily on Amazon you should be able to find the non talking version of slinky there for a good price still!

The one I have is made by Poof Slinky Inc. I think that's the original slinky company, but I'm not sure. I do know that the $3 ones you can get at Walmart are 1 size too small, as the slinky is supposed to cover all the holes where it's fed through on the inside. I'm pretty sure mine was metal as it's rusted. Where could I find a slinky with that exact diameter so it's centered on the body segments?

@@todayigrewup I did end up cutting the string as I had to remove the rusty slinky anyway. The front half had the slinky detached already (It must have broken off) so I twisted the other end off, but still need to remove the inside slinky remains. A hairdryer might work to melt the glue so I can remove the halves. I could recoil at the correct diameter, but I don't know anyone who could do that. If I do that, I may as well give it leather ears too.

Update(about a year or 2 later) I managed to get the back half separated and took out the old slinky that was in there. I can confirm it's the same material as one I got from Walmart, or at least it feels the same. The old one seems to have a slightly bigger diameter. But it won't make much of a difference. I might not even need to glue the plate things as they clip back into place pretty well. Thanks for the tutorial.

So when you are taking out the broken slinky and unhook it from the inside by snapping the slinky out, cant you just snap the new slinky inside of the dogs body so it won't ever come out instead of just shoving the new slinky inside?

You should get a slinky it only cost about $4 but the actual slinky dog toy from Toy Story 4 like I have here not sure who sells them anymore. I got mine a long time ago at Walmart.
