I use haste a lot, it’s helpful when building and mining obsidian, or netherite

Haste is good for gathering resources but kinda mixed when building since it becomes too easy to remove more blocks than you intended

with minecraft, i think that as long as you had fun building something, it doesnt matter if the end result is worse than what others have made. if you want to build better (better according to your opinion), then i suggest going into creative mode (because its faster and easier), thinking of a topic (could be any topic, doesn't have to be original) and building it. once you've built a part of the thing, you should look at it critically and experiment all different types of blocks or block placements that you think might work better than your original design and stick with what you like most. do this with every build and eventually building things that you like will get easier. never stop making improvements to your builds until your satisfied!* *its sometimes hard or even impossible to be satisfied with any block/block placement, so if you cant think of a way to improve, its better to leave it and move on last thing is to try not to compare yourself to others (although you can absolutely compare builds to find new or better ways of building). minecraft is about fun after all
