Also applies for remove and replace of terminal pin connector from many other Denso ECU's found in other models like Camry or Yaris and Matrix and Lexus models with 2GR-FSE or FJ Cruiser 1GR-FE as well as other OEM vehicles like Mazda.

This is the best car video I’ve EVER seen. I can’t stop laughing… your favorite screw driver and Toyota Teresa, classic. I started watching this because my 2007 rav4 2gr-fe and have a p0333 indicating knock sensor bank 2 problem. I’ve had rodents bite through some wires so I’m attempting to to check the continuity of the wires for the knock sensor and possibly replace the sensors. Thoughts?

This is a tough one. The sensors are very tough to access. They are under the lower intake manifold. However they both connect into a sensor sub-harness, which in turn connects into the main engine harness in a easier to access location So you can test the wiring from that point to the ECU. If nothing comes up with that test, then you have no option but to dive in. Another test: If you can pick up used sensors and a used sensor sub-harness for cheap from a junkyard, just plug those into your engine harness (no need to actually install, just for testing) and see if the code goes away.

There are 40 or 50 2GR ECU's. Which one do you want.

@@Merryfrankster_ good question, I would say the ones that connect to coolant temperature sensor and the mass air flow sensor. Got codes p0118 and p0101
