Toyota Auris II 1.8 Hybrid from 2018 with 136 Ps and 142+E:207 Nm Top Speed on an unlimited strip of Autobahn being pushed to its limit.

The Car is the 2018 Toyota Auris II 1.8 Hybrid. It has a 1598 cm³ (97.5 cu in) inline 4 Cylinder engine producing 99 Ps (73 kW; 97 hp) at 5200/min and 142 Nm (104.7 lbf⋅ft) at 4000/min combined with an Electic engine producing 82Ps (60 kw; 80hp) and 207Nm (152 lbf⋅ft)
Giving it a combined power of 136 Ps (100kw; 134hp)
It is equipped with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) driving the front wheels.
Also in this Video 0-100kmh (0-62mph), 100-150kmh (62-93mph) and Top Speed on the Autobahn of the Toyota Auris II 1.8 Hybrid.

Thanks for your video 😊 after a day that ended with bad news your video made me cheer up I think driving actually makes me cheer up, the Toyota Auris is a very good car I find that The timeless exterior is still in the news apart from the interior 😬 Toyota did well to put hybrid in their car I started to like the CVt gearbox it gives the car a sporty air 🤣 👍

Thank you for your support and positive comments. Im glad I could make a bad day a little better. Entertaining people is the reason for this channel and I’m happy I succeeded. I like how brave Toyota is with the designs I wish more manufactures would be. The cvt get lots of hate but it works well for normal driving it just a bit annoying for more sporty driving, but then I guess you don’t buy a Toyota hydride if sporty driving is your main concern

You can see how it reduces its power output significantly after a certain time of full throtte. You can reach that point quite easily on mountain roads too.

I own this car and it's a very good, very reliable car, I'm at 120.000 km in 6 years and never had a single issue. The driving tho is among the dullest driving ever. I owned a Prius befor this one and it was way more exciting. Also, mine is the Black Edition model which basically looks like a Golf GTI but it all ends there.

Bought this car today. It's extremely reliable and drives great it the city. The fuel mileage is insanely good. And they keep their Value. It's just a perfect everyday economy car with great build quality. And its pretty quick and the stoplights to with the CVT transmission.

People says when driving hybrid cars at high way speed for long distance, their fuel efficiency drop significantly compared to normal non hybrid cars.. kindly share your sincere comment on this matter.

It depends how fast your drive. Driving as fast as on this video all the time will cost you a bit above 10 liters per 100 KM, so there is no benefir of its hybrid system in such case. AVG 140 KMph consumes about 7 - 7,5 liters, 100 KMph below 5 liters. The minumum I have achieved on distance of 110 KM was 3.8 L. What is for sure, that even in Germany on unlimited highways you will not drive 190KMph for long time - traffic, constructions and your AVG speed in the end will be like 120-140. If you drive mostly highways, there is another reason not to use this car and its not consumption, but acceleration on higher speed levels and unplesant engine sound :) PS. Last month on distance 800 KM (highway Germany-Poland) my consumption result was 5.5 L - many constructions and limits.

I make a 2000Km trip once a year and the best ratio for fuel consumption/speed is 130/135 Km/h. At that speed, you get an average of 6/6.5 liters per 100Km. Under that speed, you become too slow for motorway and over 140Km/h, the consumption just becomes too high for the time that you save. These cars really thrive in national roads at 80/90 Km/h with traffic and some stops. At motorway speeds, they are basically gas cars.

They sure do. Hyrid cars have the disadvantage of being neither fish nor fowl. They have the issues of having an ICE that needs to be serviced and is less afficient than an EV, whilst also having a 2 KwH-ish battery for its electric motor. That way, you literally get the worst of 2 worlds: You don't get the insane range of a gas car (because the Hybrid System takes up fuel tank space) and it's not as clean/smooth/fun to drive as an electric (see "acceleration" for reference). On the highway, it's basically a gas car with the added disadvantage of being heavier (remember the EV battery? Yeah.) meaning that a relatively small econ car can actually get worse mileage than a bigger ICE car, say a family sedan like the Camry. These so called "mild hybrids" are worth jacks' shit. If you're serious about saving gas, you either get a PHEV (Plug in Hybrid) or just go for a full EV for maximum cost savings.

Still slower then my 1.5 vitz rs. Just raced one of these in a quarter mile drag left it 2 cars behind. Knew little about these cars so i came to youtube looking for the specs and acceleration of this car.

Well bone stock it's not so fast maby from 0 to 100 km in 9 seconds but mine makes it in 8 because i added some tweaks like a after market filter, throttle controller and a slightly bigger throttle body. Still have alot to do but i like to keep it near stock for now to have a little fun on the road with some rookies😄

Long time ago i drove the Vitz TRD first generation, lots of fun. So many people always think you need a sports car with lots of hp to have fun but the real fun are the small cars. you only run Quarter mile with it or also some racetrack fun?

@@TopSpeedBrothers Oh man i'm dying to drive one of those that or the Starlet GT turbo with a few mods. I drove both of them but the TRD vitz is a rare breed and extremely hard to find. Mine is just the N/A 3rd gen rs quite zippy but i think it needs more power a HKS exhaust and a cold air intake should do. Hard to get more power out of a natural aspirated. I drove fast cars but keep comming back to small 4 cyl cars such a joy to drive.

standard toyota with 1.8 L motor cant go above 200. while standard EU cars with even 1,5 L motors go over 220. and with 100-140 kph share the same economy. why Toyotas are slower than its European competitors? with the same engine size??

@@SandStormPower the CVT used in hybrid is not the normal CVT (the one with metal belt and conical pulleys) the CVT of hybrid car is eCVT which is connected to electric motor to transfer to car tires..
