same. i'm 30, love it. I like the idea of having a fair bit of power for overtaking combined with being comfortable and being left the fuck alone cos it looks like a plain Camry.

Only Avalon owners will appreciate this video.... :( I own a 2006 Toyota Avalon and really love it, if the Avalon in this video has a 2gr-fe engine then it would be much different, I will be tracking my 300hp Avalon in the next few years, still need to do some upgrade to it

I remember this guy's interview with consumer reports back in March---basically all that was said there was "any car can be fun, depending on where/how you drive it". Not sure how I feel about the idea, but I do know that I don't find the Avalon any more attractive now than I did before watching this

+Joshua Garcia There's both V6 and hybrid versions. C&D got 0-60 in 6.1 for the V6, 7.4 for the hybrid, versus 7.1 for the Scion FR-S. So, the one that Orlove drove does not beat a GT86 in a straight line, but it's close. That said, because it never has to shift, that helps the 0-60, it can just get the engine right up to redline and hold it there.

@@jgt8684 my 05 avalon can go 0-60 in 6.6 seconds yea, it's a total sleeper. comfiest car I've ever owned and it's my favorite one. I've owned a 99 mercury grand marquis, an 08 lincoln ls, a 14 Ford fusion titanium, a 14 corolla S and my avalon is better than all of them at 180k miles

....so what? CVTs are faster and more efficient at the expense of everything else that matters in a sports car. The only slightly liveable CVT is made by subaru, and its virtue comes from the fact it pretends to have set gear ratios, negating all the performance benefits. Im sure everyone buying ferarris is doing so so they can hold the engine at 7,800 RPM continuously..... thats really what people look for in a performance car.

is he stupid. , why wouldnt you take the V6 avalon ... wtf i have a 2017 Avalon v6(repacing my Infiniti Q50), this avalon handles well and paddleshift helps with PLENTY of power,, rwd is the only thing this car missing but its fast and cuts corners easily ,,

My first car was a 2006 Avalon in magenta. Yes, magenta. The car is exactly described in the video. It's just a terrible car, for old politically moderate white folks. It was handed down from my grandma. There is nothing farther from an enthusiasts choice than the Avalon.

You have no idea what a terrible car is and the Avalon is totally opposite from that. Sure it's boring, has 4 doors, an automatic and not a sports car, which is a very childish reason to hate it stated from the video, BUT it's comfy, reliable and roomy if you have a family. I myself have an Avalon and I love it. I'm not an old white person btw.
