I was able to fix my 2000 Toyota Camry clock that has been down for so many years after watching your video. Great video!

Hey Buddy, don't know if you figured this out already but the fix to the dimming issue is really quite simple. Those 4 surface mount capacitors on the right side of the PCB just need to be re-soldered like you were afraid to do lol. I already did this to my sister's 98 camry that the clock went out totally. If you inspect the solder joints carefully, you can see there are micro cracks in the solder that occur over time. I resoldered with Silver Bearing solder which I use for all my stuff. Doesn't hurt to add a little more solder than factory to prevent this problem from happening again. I reinstalled the clock and Voila, looks brand new!
