Toyota Celica GT4 ST205 562bhp Dyno run

A quick walk around of my GT4 and a few Dyno runs. I had clutch slip over 7000rpm so had to back it off. Going to upgrade the clutch and fit high compression pistons next

JE forged pistons (just changed from Wiseco since this video)

HKS metal head gasket (modified water ways)
Cylinder head is heavily ported and flowed
Oversize Race valves and valve springs
Kent 294 custom cams
HKS Vernier pulleys
Custom side feed inlet manifold
80mm throttle body
1000cc injectors
HKS twin feed fuel rail
NGK Iridium cold plugs
MSD coil pack
DTA Pro S60 ECU
Fuelab fuel pressure reg

Fuel swirl pot (twin outlet)
2 Bosch 044 fuel pumps

Man I’m so in love with this car. Everything the owner did to it just has me with my mouth stuck open. I have a bone stock s2000 with barely any miles if anyone with a gt4 wants to trade lol

Thanks man, most of the original work was done back in the day by Frankenstein Motor Sport. I purchased it a few years back in a sorry state with a blown engine and have rebuilt it back to its former glory with my own little additives 👍 nice to hear you’ve got an s2000 in its original form, they are gonna be worth a lot in the near future mate 😁 cheers

Thanks mate 👍, yea I’m not a fan of the rear lights to but they are Subaru Impreza fitment and had clear ones fitted before and they looked even worse 😂 if that’s possible 😆

Cheers bro 😎 yea the GT looks the same apart from the front bumper and bonnet so would be a good move fitting a gt4 bumper mate 👍 mines a mix of the ordinal st205 and I think a bit of a Varis lower lip and a lot of fibreglass work mate 👍 cheers

Lovely looking car. What size is the turbo, seems quite delayed on it coming onto boost. Love the front end. Very well done with that.

Hi, thanks 😃 it’s a Borg Warner S366 66mm and is to large really hence the massive lag, I’m thinking of changing it to a modern small frame turbo so it comes on a lot earlier 👍 cheers

Yea it’s definitely worth the wait when the boost kicks in 😃 yea it’s pretty much standard gearbox apart from a subtle ratio change 👍

What altercation did it take to fit the Impreza taillights, if any?

The body had to be cut out and widened so quite a bit of work, I don’t actually like them but they was like that when I got it, I’ve just changed the light clusters from clear to dark.

Yea the lag is to much so I’ve now stripped her down and fitted higher compression pistons (re-seated valves too while it was in bits) and will possibly go with a modern small frame turbo too in the near future 👍 cheers mate

Is the engine still the 3s-gte (but forged) ?? Very nice built btw 👍

Thanks mate 😁 yes the engine is all 3sgte, the block is a certain 3s na block as they are stronger but they don’t have the under piston squirters but they are only really for cooling the piston and not lubrication as most people think and I use water meths anyway so that’s not a problem. Yes just fully forged too 👍

Think the side skirts are Varis or TRD and the bonnet is Varis carbon fibre, the front bumper is a one off made from different bumpers and the rear end has been modified for Impreza lights 👍 cheers

The headlight delete is just a plastic pipe and fibreglass with body filler 👍

The car used to be owned by Frankenstein Motorsport many years ago so most of the work was already done, I purchased it with a blown engine and also the vehicle was in an overall bad state so I stripped it all back and went through everything and built a new fully forged engine and different turbo and manifold setup etc. I’ve put a fare few grand in her anyways 👍 cheers

To be honest I’ve not had chance to do anything with it since as been mega busy with work and other projects, but it’s good that way as when I do get back on the GT4 it reminds me of how much I missed it 😂 they have that affect don’t they mate. cheers 👍
