Toyota Century POV Drive and Walkaround (GZG50 V12)

Got a chance to drive my friend's Toyota Century. Here's a few specs:
- 2000 model
- 4 speed automatic
- 5 litre V12
- 206kw and 490nm
Filmed on Gorge Road in Adelaide, South Australia. I was dropping it off to his house to store it and was not legally allowed to take detours or drive it after I dropped it off. So I filmed this in one take, it's pretty shit and glary at points but thought I'd upload it. Go check my GRS184 Toyota Crown video, way more effort went into that. Might go ask him if I can do a thorough interior video of the car.

Sure is, Gorge Road isn't exactly straight to storage but bite me haha. Now the wait begins

Hey Matt, where do you get your crown serviced? I live around adelaide as well and want to know if you ever have trouble with the maintenance side of things

Haven't serviced it yet because it hasn't been complied yet :( but thinking of taking it to Tokyo Prestige, or just the local mechanic

Thanks, 2000 model and 111,000km on the clock I think

When I filmed it, it had a layer of dust all over it 😂 it hasn't been serviced but people say it's not too expensive to service

How much did the car cost? About $4,000 at auction, another $10,000 to ship it to Australia, maybe different for different countries

Oh dear sorry I just realised I was talking about my Crown (made another video on it). The Century cost me about $10,000 at auction, after shipping and taxes it was about $23,000

Cheep than Rolls Royce, and more reliable than Rolls Royce. I think this is why for Toyota didn't sales Century at oversea countries. You know, your Century was made by craftsman. I mean, that thing is hard to keep a quantity of making car per day. If Toyota decided sales in the world, they may couldn't keep the quality and price.

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated central gas station per city. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime....

That’s for sales, no natural combustion cars will be sold on the roads. They can’t completely phase out combustion engine vehicles.
