Fantastic video. My new RAV4 hybrid arrives last Tuesday and I find it daunting all the tech these days. So your video helped me. NZ

Valuable video. I had it all wrong and now I do understand that the recirculating mode is not something to be avoided, but in fact a real contributor to both better comfort and better economy/ Well explained in clear terms - thank you.

Is it applicable to winter, i. e .is it easier for climate control system to heat up air when recirculation is turned on? Sounds like recirculation should be always turned on. Now, when should it be turned off?
@belletoyota
@belletoyota Жыл бұрын
Recirculating is good but if you want to bring in fresh air you would want to turn it off once you have reached optimal temperature so you are not just recirculating the air in the vehicle especially on a long drive

2022 Corolla Hybrid Sedan - Question unrelated to this video - My ECO live display (the live display on the 7" Meter behind the steering wheel) of power going to and from the hybrid battery has disappeared off the display options that you can cycle through with the arrow keys on the left side of the steering wheel. I know I can display the same info on the centre console, but it it nice to see right in front of me. I went through the settings menus and can't see where I might have turned it off? It is probably something simple that I have done, but I cannot find how to restore it.

If you use the auto button, will the car automatically switch between recirculate and outside air depending on the temperature? If so, I'll leave those buttons alone and let the car do what it's supposed to do.
@belletoyota

Hi Jeff! This is an awesome question. It absolutely does! When you select the Auto feature, the vehicle will adjust the mode and speed of the fan as well as switch the recirculation feature on and off depending on environmental factors. Have a great day and thank you for your comment!

I always use Auto feature on my Toyota Rav4. I like to set my push auto, set my temp and leave it. The car does it all for you. Most people don't even use auto feature, they don't even know what it does.

my 23 rav4 is an LE, so it doesnt have the Auto button. BUT the recirculating (recirc) turns ON, when i start the car, even if i had the AC ON with the recirc OFF (and AC MAX button OFF), when i shut down the car. Do you know if there is a way i can have the recirc stay OFF by default, when i start the car? (the reason i want the recirc to be off by default is, because my wife never turns the recirc off and that keeps moisture inside the car. i am worried the ac vents will get mildew and start to smell eventually. ) Thanks!
@belletoyota

You can try having the AC off before turning off the vehicle? If not, try having the air go through the front and lower vents open before turning off the vehicle.

Hot air is dry air, when you cool it it goes humid. You should not get dust and pollen with the fresh air because the air goes through the cabin filter which removes pollen. what about explain the echo /fast button, the hand book missed this out
@belletoyota
@belletoyota Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment, we will definitely add the explanation of the eco button on our future videos. For your reference, the ECO FAST button has two modes: ECO uses up less energy/fuel which results in the fans being slower resulting in slowly cooling/heating the vehicle. The Fast button is the opposite, using up more energy/fuel which results in faster fans and quickly cooling/heating the vehicle.

I still don't know how to blow fresh air without aircon/heat on. When I press the fan speed buttons the climate control automatically turns on and When I turn off the climate control the fans stop. 2022 model
@belletoyota
@belletoyota 2 жыл бұрын
The fans will only operate when the system is running. You could set the inside temperature to match the outside temperature and then turn your fans up. This would bring in fresh air but won’t run the air conditioning or heat for an extended period.
@Rodrigo8
@Rodrigo8 2 жыл бұрын
However temperature varies the system will start eventually even if I don't want to or do you think I'm going to drive at 70mph worrying about changing the thermostat? and what is the temperature outside and inside the car? I don't want to use fuel or the battery to generate a temperature equal to the outside, it doesn't make any sense, wasting energy. That misses the whole point of having such a car. For me this is a flaw.

The Auto button will turn on your A/C automatically depending on the temperature you've set as well as the temperature of the vehicle once the vehicle is turned on.

Is there a way to shut off the ECO HEAT/COOL permanently? Every time I turn the car on it defaults to that setting which sucks for remote start
@belletoyota
@belletoyota Жыл бұрын
The default for the eco heat/cool setting is off. If it has been turned on you can shut it off again by pressing the button and it should remain in the off setting. If the issue persists when you start up the vehicle, please visit us at a service center so we can review the issue further.

@belletoyota
@belletoyota 6 ай бұрын
Depending on the size of the vehicle, on average it should only take about 5min of running the vehicle, your heat should get warm enough. If this is not the case, you should contact your local Toyota dealership, and see if their service department can take a look at your vehicle.

There is a rear touch screen button but don’t notice any air coming through to the back vent. It’s a 2022 Venza
@belletoyota
@belletoyota Жыл бұрын
@@salmanshuqair9062 Thank you for that information. On the 2022 Venza, unfortunately, there is no separate control on the front dash for the rear vents. When you put the air mode to come from the main vent (icon that shows air towards the torso), this should have the air flow to the rear vents as well. The dial in the middle of the rear vents can close and open the vents.

Hmm, doesn’t seem to change anything in the rear, even with the dial. I’ll try to play around with the main vent controls a bit more. I may take it into my local Toyota to see if they can help me figure it out

Why does AC turn on when I want heat?
@kierlancin3291
@kierlancin3291 Жыл бұрын
Does the AC heater manually control or automatically controlled?
@belletoyota
@belletoyota Жыл бұрын
If your vehicle has an Auto option near the climate controls, it will auto control the heat or A/C’s distribution and air flow which maintains the temperature that it was set to when it’s on. It can be done manually as well if you turn the Auto feature off.
