Did this to install an aux adapter. Super easy. You don't have to remove the middle screw, just the 2 on each side.

How long of a socket extension do I need to remove those 4 wretched 10 millimeter screws that hold the bottom of the radio down? I have a Draper socket set. The sockets are a bit larger than typical sockets, and surprise, I can't get the 10 millimeter socket on any of the screws! The plastic housing is too close to the screws. So I found a mini-socket set on the Sears website. But, surprise again, it only has a wimpy 1.5 inch extension. I can buy either a 6 inch or a 10 inch socket extension. I'm a minimalist; so less stuff is better.

Great video - very helpful. HOWEVER, you are wrong about one thing and I hope to clarify. You do NOT need any adapter to swap a 2003-2004 radio with a 2005-2008 radio or vice versa. They pretty much plug and play. I swapped the radio from my 2008 with one from a 2003 (because I wanted to add a tape deck for cheap DIY iPod connectivity) and it works swimmingly.

Hey! Great video. You mentioned not to worry about unplugging anything. I'm planning on taking out my radio but I am also replacing that center AC control piece. Should I be worried about unplugging the air bag connector? Any info would be great!

I have a 2003 Toyota Carola, and the passenger square is pushed in on the dash under where the stereo is. All I have to do is push it in, but I can't get to it because of the pace plate on the front. Do you have a video on how to get in the back without taking the dash apart? Or any sudgestions please?

I’ve tried doing this but the white thing where the knobs are is like stuck to it so it won’t come out..

I accidentally fell the nail into the hole when I took out the stereo, it happened because the magnet is not strong enough. Is there any way to get the nail back up? And actually I got the same nail as the one which had fell, but however I'm scared that the nail will affect the car's engine or transmission. Pls help me!

Do i still have to take off the bracket if the new radio isn't the orginal Toyota Corolla? Would I just use it again for another Toyota Corolla radio and thats it?
