In this video I show you a common issue that might be causing your Check Engine Light to be on. An OBD2 code reader will help to determine the exact reason your check engine light is on. Auto Zone helped me for free. It was the gas cap. Check engine light didn't go off/reset until I drove about 75 miles. 👍

I cleaned the gas cap, I disconnected the battery and cleaned the terminals; problem solved. Thank you very much for these money saver tips.

(My car is 2004 Toyota corolla, about 132000 mile). Auto Zone had helped me to change new gas cap , check engine light immediately off. But, after two weeks later, ( i only drive every other day ) the check engine light on again. I went to Auto Zone again. After making diagnostic, the man in the auto zone told me that the trouble code was the same as before. I make appointment with Toyota dealer and can not make sure if they are able to detect the problem. My car is very good, and this is the first time for the check engine light on.

I have a problem I’m hoping you could help me ? AE110 1999 Toyota Corolla My check engine light comes on the car lags and takes awhile to build up speed even if my foot is flat.. example moving off from a stop light feels like the car is being pulled back. Any suggestions

Hi thanks for watching. It could be so many things and hard to know without seeing it. You could get a code reader to read the OBD computer and will let you know the trouble codes that are triggering the check engine light. That will hopefully help narrow it down. There are some inexpensive ones on Amazon. Good luck hope you get it figured out.

How long after replacing the gas cap did the CE light turn off ?

I had that problem because in the gas station they dont close correctly the top so i just put some force and i can erase the light, thank you for the advice.

Hi, Thanks for the video, I have toyota corolla petrol 2002, one day the engine light came on and start loosing power (i had to high rev to drive the car), took to mechanic but the his computer cant read any code , not sure what else i can do. on low speed the engine light stays on but when i go high speed the engine light start fleshing and exhaust noise is a bit loud and feels like miss fire. any guess please?

@@michaelax3025 it was one of the ignition coil that way the issue, but the trouble was that the Computer wasn't showing any code so couldn't figure out which coil was faulty, The experience mechanic pull out one coil at a time ( while engine running) and when he took out the fault one there wasn't any difference in the engine sound as it was kind of dead.

Can you please help me out !!! With your opinion ... I JUST had this fixed on my Toyota Corolla 2003 this year I’d say about 3 months ago more or less and today as I was driving doing Uber eats it suddenly turned back on again ! I just had it replaced ! My signal lights go off sometimes too when I use emergency lights then try to use my signal they won’t turn on unless I turn in my emergency lights . I don’t know if it’s a wiring issue or what is happening but it has a brand new engine so do you have idea or clues ? ID APPRECIATE YOUR FEED BACK SO MUCH SINCE I DONT KNOW ANY ONE WHO WOULD KNOW ABOUT FIXING. CARS . :(

Hi sorry to hear about your car troubles. It could be so many things unfortunately there is no way to guess. You can get an inexpensive code reader and hook it up to your car to get the trouble code. I have a video that talks about how to use them if you decide to go that route. I am not sure about the signal lights, you need to have a mechanic look at that and make sure they are working right. Good luck and I hope you get everything fixed.

There's two or three selinoids one in back of trunk on the charcoal canister and you also have a shut off fill valve on the gas tank they get stuck and you got two more selinoids on the air filters.housing and hoses that are worn research research research.look at all videos and check and replace all the cheap and simple stuff first

If your check engine light is coming on and you are not sure what for you will need to use an OBD2 scanner to see why the check engine light is on, or bring it into a mechanic to have them diagnose it. Hi all,my problem is,light on check engine, Toyota Corolla diesel engine, 10 yr old, 60,000 thou miles my mechanic changed MAF Sensor worked fine for 2 weeks,+ loosing power again, Any advice Please, + it cost €300, Tanks all.

Thanks for watching, the check engine light will not go off instantly after the problem is resolved, the on board computer will evaluate the problem for a period of time before it removes the MIL.
