In this video, the latest Toyota LandCruiser 300 series has landed in our office carpark and before we did a more detailed review Simone wanted to take it out and run us through the basics of this off-roader with legendary heritage.
In Australia, we get the one-engine option for the LC300. It’s a 3.3 L V6 twin-turbo diesel. It gives you 227 kW of power and a whopping 700 Nm of torque from between 1600-2600 revs.
Combined fuel consumption is listed as 8.9L per 100km.
Pricing for the all-new LandCruiser 300 models on offer and what you can expect to pay for them.
The recommended retail price for an LC300 GX starts at $89,990.
GXL comes in at $101,790.
VX will set you back $113,990.
Sahara $131,190.
GR Sport $137,790.
Sahara ZX $138,790

Thanks, its nice to see women conducting the review. Can you do a more detailed review of the LC300 VX and available after market accessories. In particular we are looking at towing.

A GXL model is about $ 110 k on road, plus options. No power tailgate, manual only. No rain sensing wipers Row 3 is not very roomy, and Row 2 is in fixed position ! No diff locks available, unless you get this done aftermarket.. The GVM & GCM is only slightly improved v LC200, and it’s still less then competitor product, such as Patrol, Discovery & Defender. Toyota took 14 years to release the LC300 ! Very poor effort… 🤷🏻‍♂️

LAND CRUISER It is incredibly popular in Japan, and Japanese dealers have to wait up to 4 years to get it from the payment reservation. From Japan

These "bricks" have an enormous waiting list for a reason, see G wagons as well... People will forever fight over them, because they're cool, simply as that.

The design ... exterior & interior ... have a clear freshness ... the only minus being the super-wide central console ... which steals cabin volume ... valuable for air.

I think it's a nice interior. It has a touch of vintage, while still being practical and modern. Exterior, I am not so sure. I'd say it's on the edge of plain ugly.

Lol physical buttons VS scrolling throug screens , if you're a propper driver you'd always go with physical buttons over screen scrolling

No doubt it's a beautiful car, but spending that kind of money when we are moving towards electric and hybrid vehicles seems insane unless money is no concern to you.

If u just want to / need to frequently carry 7 people, then a Kia Carnival would be a much smarter choice. But, the Kia can’t tow like the LC, or go off road…

What is this stupid channel? She just goes through and reiterates the Toyota sales brochure! Oh, and by the way there is a competitor to this vehicle and it’s called a Nissan Patrol! The smart people by a Patrol Ti and pocket the $30k saving and it has features the LC300 VX doesn’t get.

Have you actually driven either of them. The LC300 runs rings around the Patrol in every way. I’d rather spend the extra cash and get the LC thanx 😉
