What's your pick: 1958 Edition, Land Cruiser, or First Edition? Jeff

Dealer add-ons bring up the first edition to $80k+?! Defeats the purpose of making the Land Cruiser cheaper. The previous model was $90k but you got so much more and it was indestructible. I wouldn't go to that dealership because of the greedy add-ons.

Id go for the 1958 or the first edition. Solely on the fact that I WANT the round retro headlights

All trims have value, but I think I would go with the Landcruiser. I like the square headlights and softex seats. Thanks Jeff!!

I was excited about possibly getting one of these till I found out you can't put more than 120lbs in the back without damaging the batteries. That's a deal breaker.

These prices are insane.

They have the same 4 cylinder turbo engine as my 2024 tacoma TRD off-road and transmission I sure love mine excellent engine

I own a 2009 Land Cruiser LC200 w/ ~190,000 miles and I've seen others with 300-400k on the clock. What're the chances the 300 series has the same reliability? Bc I am not seeing it.

Where is the panoramic moonroof ? It needs one like most SUV’s have.

This vid shows-did not know the lower than 1Addition trim don’t have the driver assist tools for watching drivers attentiveness and beeps at you. Learned something new. I do not want my car telling me that or having to turn it off at each start-up

THe 1958! Price point, same engine, like the cloth seating, dont need all the bells and whistles, esp do not want sun or moon roof

This is the Prado. The LC300 is the main Land Cruiser. It seems like the 1958 is not coming to south africa.

What about a two door LC? Hopefully Toyota brings that out.

Next year toyota is releasing a new Land Cruiser Trim that will ditch the hybrid, add panoramic roof, heated rear seats, and 3rd row seating. It will take the place of the 1st sucker....errrr 1st edition.

Going with the Lexus over trail within the next two years after Toyota gets all of the bugs fixed. Thanks!

LC1958 is the winner

50k plus for an suv with clothing seats no sun roof , what is going on with people why do they accept this rippof.

I drove a 1958 recently, and 55k is way too much to pay for that thing. Id be okay paying 35k for it. It just feels cheap. The past Land Cruisers were 90k because they were designed to last for 30 years, they were well equipped, and were much bigger. These new ones are the size of a 4Runner, and the 1958 is not well equipped. I thought I'd be okay with that, but I'm not. The cheap, rattly plastics are terrible. Most importantly, there's no way that 4 cylinder hybrid is going to last for 30 years. I don't mind a bare bones utilitarian vehicle, but for that price, it's unacceptable. I was really looking forward to this vehicle, but I'm super disappointed.

1958 is the best I like the cloth seats and round headlights all it needs is a moonroof and I’m sold.

Does anyone know how much the battery & electric motor add to the weight of the vehicle? Im not crazy about the extra weight & the room it takes up in the cargo area? I like the Land Cruiser but the return on gas mileage & extra hp does not justify the extra weight & cost. Too bad Toyota doesn’t give you any options.

If these new Toyota vehicles came with regular V4, V6 and V8 engines I would have already bought a Tundra or Land Cruiser. Could these new turbo hybrid engines be the end of Toyota’s reliability and longevity? Toyota’s reputation for longevity and reliability could be coming to an end with these very troublesome engines. For the first time in 40 years I can honestly say with confidence that I don’t trust Toyota’s new hybrid turbo engines.
