We are showcasing episodes not viewed in decades. Starting from Season 11 (1982), this is the first season when animal furs were no longer offered as prizes, supporting Bob’s advocacy of animal rights in memory of his wife Dorothy Jo.
To celebrate what would have been Bob Barker's 100th birthday, the channel is also featuring episodes from the debut season of The "New" Price Is Right in 1972.

6:19 Please Note: When you watch the closing credits, you'll see Nancy Meyers' name on them - it's the same Nancy Meyers who later wrote and produced "Private Benjamin", "Irreconcilable Differences", "Baby Boom", and "Father Of The Bride Parts I and II", and later on became a director.

That’s right she did. Who would have guess a young Nancy Meyers would go from being a PA on the greatest gameshow of all time in its early years to being a prolific and successful Writer, Director and Producer.

I wish TPIR had kept its Pricetown font in the rolling credits over the years. It's pretty neat. Also, very rare to hear the end of the theme during the televised broadcast.

Oh my!!! R.I.P. boat for birthday boy I guess. I would have thought that that showcases costed 3000$ and I would have been OVER as well. This video also includes faster flashing of winnings and the sad version of the TPiR theme during the credits (after it did play in its entirety it was replaced by the original pitch version). I can't believe that in 8 days it's the day when Bob would have celebrated a century.

Inflation loves to trick us. In those early Price is Rights bidding less than 2 thousand in the Showcases was the safeguard for a lot of cases. I can't imagine a less valued showcase. Nowadays Showcases tend to have five digits on their price.
