TPC Stage 2 N54 19T Turbos Unboxing

After measuring my CTS Stage 2+ turbos and finding they were actually a 16T turbo, the shop who is doing my install insisted we should look into upgrading to a larger, documented turbocharger. I had known of TPC from the Evo community so I decided to try them out and their customer service was spot on. Nick answered the phone and answered all my questions I asked for in regards to these turbos. I’m very excited to see what kind of steam I can make.
Advantages of the TPC Stage 2 N54 turbos:
-Bigger A/R housings than standard eBay variant 17t/19t and even some name brand offerings like CTS, DAW, Frankenturbo, Pure. [This is my claim, ive owned pure600's and CTS chargers, and the CTS uses the same stainless mani as DAW on the flow max]
-Ported Wastegate openings
-Twin piston ring and dual port thrust assembly
-Upgraded wastegate bushings
-46/58mm 19T compressor wheels in 9 blade configuration, G-series architecture
-TD04L Turbine wheels
-Balanced, machined, and assembled in Canada

I am posting an update video on this car soon. I put it on the dyno and it made 585 WHP on a mustang dyno, which was 655 whp with the owners dynojet conversion. this was on 28 psi tapering to 27, at 17 degrees of timing at 7,000 RPM. I was using Renegade Pro E112 (Leaded E85) and the car performed phenomenally. These power numbers were weather corrected as well.

These turbos been lasting? Is there noticeably increased lag versus stock turbos running like 20 psi? On the fence about either these turbos eventually or going single turbo.

I'm looking forward to seeing your follow up vids and seeing how you get on with these. Are you just running an upgraded DI pump with no PI or meth etc?

@@SikaSeeker they have been fantastic. maxed out the stock Di system with E50 and a helix around 24 psi flatline. Installing a Phoenix Raceworks Port mani and injectors and a reflex plus over winter for the "max effort" build

Hey there how are these still going, will it be suitable for DD? I am not really looking to push too much power just looking at reliability instead of Chinese turbos.

Yes, these turbos are more than suitable for daily use. You don't have to push them to feel or get a benefit from them, they would be good for daily driver turbos but again you definitely will want to get a custom tune for the turbos. I would not use them with an off the shelf tune, or even the stock tune,

Yes they are installed. Maxed out the helix 3X and installing a Port injection kit currently over the winter with a reflex plus

I sold them to a friend because after dissassembly, we measured the CTS's and those turbos were 16T's. this was smaller than pure600's so that was going to be a downgrade for my car. I had 600's before

hey there brother. Car has been running great on the TPC 19T's thus far. it was on a Helix 3X for the last year, and I pushed it until the helix couldnt supply any additional fuelling. I did a best of 6.24 60-130 and the car ran great. i didnt race many people last year because i was getting the car dialed in most of the summer and meets were limited. We ditched the helix this year and went with the Port injection kit and a reflex plus.

update, car did a 5.93 60-130 this year on 26.5 psi, still dialing in the tune and plan to turn up even more in 2024.
