Here in Puerto Rico (EAST) just the 100mph wind gust that Irma produce, did alot of damage.it took out electrical poles,trees,..900,000 people without electricity...this is a very severe hurricane.god help the ones that are caught in the eye of that hurricane.

After the NWS model on Harvey proved problematic, look at the UKM [also known as UKMET] model. It has consistently shown a flatter track then the new model being used by US government weather agencies. I guess Obama had them add some odd "bias" adjustment to make projections less reliable, but haven't dug into methodology yet - just observe a much larger error on their part. UKM model did at first show it tracking on Cuba's southern coast, but the northern coast is not far from the same threat: IRMA is going to peek its head into the Gulf, and the only question is how it exits. Sad thing is, most of the gasoline has been sucked out of the state by the east coaster exodus, and Gulf side residents could be in a very big bind indeed.
