Traction control video, this one on a 5.7 Liter Hemi Dodge Challenger. With the Trac button off, turn it back into a real old school Muscle car. With it off you can burn out, spin the wheels, and have an old school rear wheel drive again! Traction control sport electronic stability mode on off button etc. I only had this car for a couple days so if you have one and have some more info please add it in the comments. I have a 2015 Charger RT. To turn off ESP you have to have the car off. While the car is off put your foot on the break, then hold your traction control. While holding the traction control turn on your car and don’t let go until it says esp is disabled.

I have kind of a luxury car 2017 Ford edge titanium. This is a lot of fun Iturned traction control off and use my paddle shifter was just screwing around for a little while..One thing I noticed when I do this my steering wheel tightens up. I have a electronica steering I think they call it steering so I can fill the tires on the road again like the old days. Was a lot of fun

I drive a 2017 Chrysler 300s and found there is a difference between traction control in Sport(partially off) and Traction control Off. On Challenger, I think Hector Serrano is correct about holding the Traction control button until it switches from Sport to Off. My 300, you have to push and keep holding the traction control button then start the car. As the car is starting, you can see on the dash, it switches form Sport to Off. Hey, Thanks for the video.

Hold the traction control button down for 5 seconds and that will turn off the stability control also. It does at least on my 2015 SRT challenger.

Yeah it does on my 300s also. Makes a big difference because with it off by just pressing the button, its still on in some ways.

Man I don't know. There was a lot going on there. It hooked up really well though. It took some effort to get it to break loose but it was probably because it was an automatic. Thanks for commenting.

It was getting high 20's on the highway. Even when I juiced it up, it was hard to get it below 20! It has that thing where it shuts half the cylinders down if the gas pedal is light. It worked great for me. It was Dodge, but the power was pretty seamless between the powersaver 4cyl mode and all eight. Really it is just like the old muscle cars. It was trying to run in 8th at like 70 mph. It gives a little boost of power then it is idling sounding like a jet engine on tin.

Without the Track Pack, pushing that stab control button only loosens the parameters of the system, it is partially off, but still enough computer to help a novice driver out in case a little fish tailing is overwhelming. With the Track Pack, come to a complete, dead stop. In fact, put it in park, best option. Then press and hold the stab control button for 7 seconds or so, and BZAM! The traction control switches completely off. This is not simply to show off though, the stab control system applies the brakes to prevent wheel spin on individual wheels, it robs your car of available power and your brake pads can wear out just as fast as your tires could. With the stab control completely off, you get the beast and the beauty of the Hemi. But be fore warned: For experts only. Should only be used sparingly, and definitely in dry road conditions. I've heard drivers using it to sled a Chally in the snow, but why would anyone want to trash their Dodge that way? All that salt, deicer, sand, and rocks... might as well kick the doors in.

I know on the sxt you can turn the car off, then hold the start and tcs button when starting the car until it says OFF and not SPORT to turn everything all the way off. You just can't do it by holding only the tcs button. A lot of people don't know that you can still turn tcs all the way off on the base models, it just isn't as easy as the track pack. I'm sure this applies to the base RT as well.

Wierd I thought the RT came with a Trac Pack Button on the dash to bring up your R/T suspension and launch etc quickly.

Only if you have the 8.4 inch uconnect screen. Next time youre in that car, try this: with the car off, push and hold the traction control button AND sport buttons. Then push the break pedal and start the car. Continue holding the traction and sport button. Your screen between the gauges will say traction control off and THEN itll say electronic stability control off. Roast those tires away my friend, regardless of the differential on the car.

@@ryant3093 yes, in my 2018 RT Super Track Pack it even "line locks" the car for burnouts or to clean tires off before a race. Try it out, but beware, the electronic stability control helps you keep from wrecking the car around corners and such, dont bo duke it without being fully aware of the control of the car.

One of my other viewers said the same thing about newer Challengers. I don't know if it still retains some setting in there to keep it from burning out?? Can't be. Have you tried holding down the button for several seconds to see if it might turn off stability too? Sometimes a quick push turns off Trac, but a longer push it required too turn off all of the Stability programs.

@@vinjudah5074 Also If it is a shiftable automatic you should try using that also so you can rev it up higher without the automatic transmission messing up your shifts etc.

The trick on my 2016 SXT was to turn car off, then hold Sport and Ignition until ESP was turned off completely. Holding ESP button or pushing it only set ESP to sport mode. The Scat pack and up you can just hold the button, but I think the lower ones you may need to turn car off and hold both ignition and esp off or sport button until it says ESP OFF and not ESP SPORT, can't remember if it was ESP or Sport button though. I do know the trick was holding the ignition with that button when starting the car.

He's wrong on one actually two aspects pushing that traction control button does turn traction control off but it keeps stability control and all the other electronic nannies on. If you want to shut everything off and basically turn it into what he's talkin about a muscle car from the 70s you have to go through a similar but different process. I have a 2018 Dodge Charger RT and it is the same way on it as it is on my uncle's 2018 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack

@@BenLindseyKiaLove kind of. When you start the car hold down the button at the same time as you start it and the car will turn off all the electronic nannies. Just pushing the button once just puts everything in sport mode which doesn't shut it off.
