Back in 1968 dad bought an IH 706 used. We used that tractor to pull feed wagons pull behind chopper and hay trlrs. In 2002 when dad sold the dairy farm that tractor ran 7days a week 365 days a yr. That was the best tractor that dad got his money out of. Very little major maitance on it. Seemed like once a month we were servicing it. Thank's for the memory's Andy!

Those are some good looking tractors! I have to say, I really like the older models and I enjoy hearing their story and about their history on the farm. Thank you Andy for taking your free time to guide us around! Now just a thought (maybe it's just me...): Those equipment videos are different from the daily updates. You decided to spend some time on each vehicle to show it and to tell us something about it. Editing the clips together into videos will take some more time. All in all it's a lot of work... Now please don't feel like you have to do all of those videos in the next week. Often it's worth it to wait a little for a nice shot (e.g. better lighting, less wind, etc.). The work on your end will be nearly the same, but the outcome could be much better! It's just us viewers who have to wait a little longer and that is totally fine. Now don't get me wrong! I'll never complain about a video! And I hope I could express my thoughts in an understandable way... It's just seeing you making all that effort for a video with clipping audio or too dark frames... Maybe even try out the iPad for recording those kind of special videos (I don't know about the iPad sound, but it should give you a nice image quality). Anyways, I appreciate you taking your time to show us the farm, Andy.See you with the next video!

Arnim I know exactly what you mean and thank you for clarifying that. I did notice after the fact that the damn wind was bothering a bit and thank you for explaining that.

I wonder how many of those old 4020's are still out there working! They were probably a lot of farmer's biggest tractors back in the 70's, now they don't come close to the big ones today! Thanks for the tour, it was fun!!!

We have an old 4320 also. We use it for planting and on a small grain buggy. The engine went bad so we put in a 466 from an old parted out 6620 combine. The tractor runs real nice and made 165 hp on the dyno. You are a very busy man!
@bladewiper4 жыл бұрын
your son is the fourth generation to run that 4020, which is really cool. I am sure it will never leave the family.

Our family has a small generational farm of 160 acres. Back in the '80's I planted about 60 acres of winter wheat once with a 1940 John Deere D. We did most of the farming with a John Deere R; only 90 acres of farm ground; the rest was cow pasture.

Another great video Andy... please make more like at least one a day if possible... I'm sick of these frickin wannabe channels trying too be something they're not and never could be ever.... giving a real farmer like yourself a bad rap.... I'm proud too tell people that you are from upstate New York and my home where I was born and raised. I think I might be moving back home and calling you boss man and friend 👍👍👋

Those old deers are timeless you can never tell if its a 1970 or 1999 when its cold if they dont need to start dont start them all you do is burn your starter up and break stuff not even worth geting them running inless you need them running
