I've run farm equipment all my life and been on a skid steer or two....but there's something about that setup that really intrigues me! Such a cool machine.

This seems to combine a good amount of dirt moving power along with great precision. Being able to spread the road base to the exact thickness should save money on materials and also assure it is not thin in some spots. You did really well Tim.

@@themintlord4744 I am curious what a JCB with side entry would be like with a dozer blade. I am Deere guy all the way, but I do hate climbing over the bucket or blades etc to get into most skid steers. JCB has that side entry model that if I were buying a skid steer that would be the only 1 I would be interested in, at least till Deere or CAT comes out with a side entry model like the JCB.

@@jdfleetguy28 I absolutely hate the JCB skid steers because of the one arm design, but I guess it's just personal preference. It would be interesting to see one with a dozer blade. When it comes to that type of equipment, takeuchi is by far my favorite brand.

Grade control is a very popular tool. Glad you touched on it with your channel. As it was stated It is being fitted to a variety of machines, in two industry settings that I know of, farming and construction.Farmers are using the mapping to increase efficiency too with planting harvesting and erosion control.

Hi Tim, great video. It’s amazing how technology is now playing a huge role in these machines. Recently rode with my neighbor in one of those huge John Deere tractors with all the GPS gadgets. Now I see how they can make the rows so straight. Really enjoy your channel.

Nice video. I'm not sure I understood a lot of it, but that's how we learn. Personally, I hope you don't get one for the channel. I know that I could never afford one and watching one is a nice diversion, but I would rather watch and learn about tractors since I have one of those, rather than spend a lot of time watching something I'll never have. But on the other hand, you have certainly done a fine job of building your channel without my two cents, so obviously you should do what you think is best! 😁👨‍🚒

Fun video to watch, lots of JD Green and a Yellow one too. Watching what the track loader can do with GPS was amazing even if it's not the high-end ones on the big road graders.
