A major part of harvesting corn is hauling it to a grain elevator. Take a ride with Tim and Tom as they haul a semi load of corn to Consolidated Grain and Barge in 1988 Kenworth T600 truck.

I like these videos Tim. A lot of people have no idea where their food comes from other then the cans at the grocery store. It’s good to educate folks on the hard work that our farmers do on a day to day basis. Farmers are the folks who keep us fed, other than the folks who have small gardens of their own. Folks like your dad plant the crops, tend to them, harvest them and send them out into the country where we all consume them. People need to know these things. Then there are the cattle, hog and chicken farmers who do the same. If it weren’t for farmers more than half the nation would just starve. It’s not the 1800s anymore where each family grew their own and raised their own meat. Reminds me of a notice in the paper once from an anti hunter...it said that all the hunters should be ashamed of killing animals because there was no reason for it when you could just go to the grocery store and buy meat where no animals were harmed!😂 Now I saw the paper and the ad but I’m not 100% sure it was real however as I said there are those who have no idea where their food comes from. Thank you and your family for sharing just a brief part of what they do in a day. I live less than a mile from a family of farmers. They have roughly 3000 acres of farmland. They grow cotton, soybeans and corn and alternate each year in different areas. They also have very nice hay fields which they work as well. They are some of the hardest working men I’ve ever met and I’m sure yours are as well. Look forward to more as always!

Oh shit I used to work at Consolidated Grain & Barge(CGB) in Osceola, AR. I worked in their small facility and I loved the job. Now they've built a nice new huge facility there. When i worked there, the largest facility they had was in West Memphis, AR and it was amazing. They could store over 1,000,000 bushels, unload 4 trucks at one time, load 2 barges at one time. It was a pretty awesome set up. They had just get these new anti-dust things where the pits where so as you would dump the grain, a vacuum would suck up the dust and turn it into little bitty dust balls and drop them into the pit. The reason they keep the dust balls in the pit because when they weigh your load and you go and dump it..they are also technically buying the grain dust in the trailer too. Damn I miss job there...
