I've climbed this route in the past but when I tried it again this time it felt way harder than I remember. Still an amazing route with lots of varied climbing and fun.

Yeah man the grades at sunset are so weird. They are either soft as shit or hard as fuck.

Hey man, nice climb! I'm 14, and I do a lot of sport climbing, and I can lead 5.9. Do you have any way that you give yourself some confidence while leading? I can get a little shook when I'm far away from my last clip. If you even do anything. thanks! I think you're a pretty cool guy, keep up the good work, be safe.

Okay okay, so, when i was first getting into lead i was terrified of leading anything at all. Period. Eventually i got out of this headspace by pushing myself in the gym on lead, and that translated well to outdoors, simply becasuse the bolts that are placed in rock are liekly 10x stronger than bolts placed in wood. So, then i moved onto trad, and man it took me a solid 1-2 years to get over that. What really really drove it home for me was when i took my first unplanned fall on a .2 cam. After that i have never been scared of falling and have continued on to push myself on gear. So if i had to give you any recommendations, if you are 100% sure that your gear placing technque is solid, start pushing yourself on routes that are above your grade but you know that youll have a clean fall on. Go around on the ground and dirve home the fact that your gear is bomber. For sport I'd say the best way is to practice in the gym as its a very sterile and safe place that you can know you wont get hurt. Let me know if i can provide you any more guidance! Best luck, Tim
