TRADED MY RD1 HONDA CRV FOR TURBO GOLF GTI! Was it a MISTAKE?
I Don't know for sure yet but so far, this little 1.8t hatch gets up and goes!
I'm not entirely sure as to what mods are on the car because I'm completely new to the MK4 platform. Previous owner stated the car was Full bolt ons and it for sure has a tune not just because of how quick the turbo spools up but those obnoxious BURBLE TUNE pops that never seem to end. The only real problem with the car is it got stuck in gear on my drive home from picking it up. I ordered the deiselgeeks replacement bushings as these are a common problem on VOLKSWAGENS and was able to get it out of gear. Hopefully you guys like the trade and are as excited as i am for the upcoming content now that i have 2 decently quick project cars with lots of tuning potential. LETS GO!!! #mk4 #golfgti #hondacrv

quicker yes. Faster nooooo haha 😂 The turbo spools quick and It feels torqy but it doesn’t have any top end.

Vw will always be a vw. I would have kept the crv they are appreciating value.Mind me asking what package the crv was? If you traded a base fwd auto I get it. I own 2 mk4’s gti’s one is the 20th anniversary but also own a crv 4wd 5speed, not to mention the versatility for a cr-v i wouldn’t trade this thing for a gti. No way, but still cool gti man good luck with it. 🤙🏼

CRV was AWD 5 Speed manual I think LX. I had initially bought it as a little sleeper or Off-roading rig but in the 6 months I’ve been here I havnt gone off-roading and the b20 isn’t good for boosting because of the thin walls. That being said the CRV would have been the better package in the winter snow but for just dailying around daily the VW has better MPG and sounds cooler in my opinion. The CRV was just slightly underpowered for me and I think I’ll be back in a 2nd Gen with K series next time. Thanks man!! First gti I’ve owned and it’s pretty sweet for a lil hatch
