Here is a simple challenge for you. Take 10 trades using my simple forex scalping strategy and post your results in the comments. A winner will be selected in 2 weeks for a free month in FTR Trading Community.
If anyone joins between now and then, and wins, I will give you your first month free, PLUS an additional second month.
Instructions:
Mark out your m15 Points of Interest, and enter off the m1. Use NO pending orders, only market orders, straight off a rejection candle.
Target TWO Take Profits: One at the nearest swing, and the other at the next m15 POI.
Record your results.
Post your results in the comments section with the dates of backtesting covered and the currency pair and a winner will be selected at random - it is not a competition to see who gets highest!

Hi Paul, first of all a massive THANK YOU for all your videos!! They've helped me a lot starting my trading journey. For the challenge I picked two dates at random for the EUR/USD and I had the following results using the strategy: 12 June 2024: 3 wins & 2 losses with a TP1 of 19.9 and a TP2 of 27.9 24 June 2024: 1 win & 4 losses with a TP1 of 0.6 and a TP2 of -5.0

Almost exact strategy that I'm using, entry is only the difference after a Choch in 1min not in M15. I don't take partials it ruin my final RR and make profit slow gain, I only trade gold because even mitigated POI works.

Something I forgot to mention on the video is that I DON'T auto-set a SL when scalping. I manually add it about 2 seconds after getting into a trade. There's a algorithm reason behind this which maybe I'll explain on a future video but I'm sure some stock market guys will already have covered

@TradeForexwithPaul I have just done another 10 trades to see if I just got lucky. This time eur/usd got 19.8 R over 3 days. I'm taking trades following bos direction and trading away from choch. Have you got any suggestions of what data to record at all.? So far I'm recording date, time, tp1 R, tp2 R, stop loss location (behind m15 poi) and notes. I might look at different stops like aggressive behind wick rather than behind the poi. Paul you have really started me on a mission now. I want to do a hundred trades now and start filtering out out of hours trades. Is there any way to account for red news when backtesting? Cheers mate

Great idea Paul, just what we need. A kick up the backside, get to work. No good watching 30 videos if you dont get stuck in and give it a go. How you going to know if youve learnt anything? .document everything. I'll be back with my results. Cheers Paul.

Awesome, thanks for the video! I've been interested in your strategies for sometime, but previously it didn't quite click. After seeing this video I decided to try it again & I watched a few other videos as well. I didn't think I did very well, yet I still ended up with 36R after 1 week! I would like to join, but I'm currently jobless and low on money. Heya Paul, nice challenge :) 10 trades on AU, started at 19:00 EST, sunday 23rd evening. Last trade ended this morning (24th) around 9pm EST. With T1, 7W 3L, 15.9R. With T2, 6W 4L 29.9R. In live, I would've most likely kept the last trade going to 20R or so so I'd have 35R instead of 30. I got a question though, Let's say we set our 15m POIs and wait for entry. While the price retraces, it makes a new POI between the intended target and the POI we're looking to enter at. This new POI is the new target right? Thanks!

Legend! Good question mate. I think personally in live trading I will often adjust the TP if this happens. Generally though, if you've got in on a POI (extreme) then the original TP should be the target, but when the market spacs out then it gives good cause to shift perspective

KZfaq guru here, so i could be wrong but when you say 'trapped traders' and banks 'levelling their orders', i always think of it as hedging, look for a small candle with lots of volume, its where banks have bought a large amount of buy and sell trades equally, wait until prices moves a direction, half the trades are in profit and half are in loss, they then close the profiting trades and enter opposite trades to push price back to the starting price, those trades are then also winning, and close the original losing trades at breakeven

Hi Paul ! Loving your content. Can this same strategy/logic be applied with the 4h/15m timeframes instead of the 15m/1m ? Would you say the strategy presented here is a watered down version of your core strategy ? Or just as powerful ? Kind regards.

Thank you! Watered down for sure. Same principles, but the pure basics... everything else we use in FTR is just detailed statistical data gathered over years of trading and backtesting e.g. OBs, Sweeps, Mitigations etc

hey man, I'm in pauls group so I can help you out here. Bos and choch is basically swing highs and swing lows, if trending up and a swing low is broken with a body, then that would be a choch and the direction would switch. There is a bunch of good videos explaining this on pauls channel!

Have a doubt. At 15:07, according to Rule 2, isnt the price supposed to be in SELL direction? Why have you taken a BUY trade at 15:07?

Sorry mate just seen this. I should have clarified. You can wait for choch and enter off the OB created within choch, or get stuck in with a rejection. I'm generally impatient and won't wait on choch

Not if they're regulated mate. I know there's a lot online about stop runs but they're audited to such a level the directors will be jailed if they're found cheating the system. It's simply not worth it for the kind of money we trade

Use a Trade Manager for tight stops, so your stop is not visible at the brokers server. I have created a Trade Manager for MT5, it's completely free and open source.
