Several of the support personnel for the businesses in the Central Business District have been left stranded by the temporary closure of the businesses. The business owners have dedicated the day to a meeting with President Museveni to iron out the outstanding tax disputes. Last month, the traders shut down businesses for four consecutive days in protest against the rollout of the Electronic Fiscal Receipting and Invoicing Solution, EFRIS, by the tax body.
