As alway, very informative and great content! My best moment of the day is to watch one of your clip daily! You mentionned at 6:02 that Tradestation has different platform and account for trading, does it mean that if you have Future account that only Future data will be available and nothing for stock or options? Also do you already check quickly if options data on stock and index can go up 1980 years ? BTW, does SQX has a Black Friday addtionnal discount than your good 23% discount?

Each asset meeds its own account and capital. So you can use TradeStation broker to trade futures, stocks, options, currencies, but you need to open separate account for each. I dont know about options but you get one of the longest data history in the market for stocks and futures My coupon “statoasis” will always get you the best price for SQX

When I look at Multi Chart pricing, I see that there is a Backtesting Add-On that boosts the price to over $2,700. Is that Add-On necessary or will the Advanced Strategy Pack suffice for backtesting like your videos demonstrate?

Hello Ali I have a question I made some robots using SQX and the strategys was profitable on backtesting but when I Demo tested it in my MT4 I saw that stop loss is not at right place. what is the solution to this problem

Could be many things, but start with simple stop loss like yesterday low to see if code behaves as expected, then if it works that means the code for your current stop has issues. It could be data, time frame, spread, etc.

You can open tradestation account from many countries including US Multichart standard is only for trading, to backtest and use portfolio you need Multichart strategy pack (uses easy language) Multichart net uses c# only for programming

the list of tools are big and they go and out of favor over time, but currently I use Tradestation for data, Multicharts to build/test/trade futures, and SQX to build/test and soon to trade stock portfolio strategies

officially no external data connection is possible, you can still import manually any data. Stocks, forex and crypto are available for free SQX have their own data feed, one minute resolution for futures and stocks, you can use coupon "STATOASIS" at checkout to get 23% off

tradestation is their own broker, so they don't connect to other brokers. there are external commercial tools to take tradestation orders and send it to other traders.

I dont have one, but here is the summary: Trading view is the best charting software I’ve seen in my 2 decades of trading but limited in back testing, still powerful programming language. limited brokers.

great question, while they overlap, they don't serve the same function. MC is a charting software with the ability to test complex code and portfolios. SQX is a data mining package that can build a lot of strategies randomly or guided then tested, filter, save, repeat all on auto.

I bought a lifetime license to Multicharts for $300.00 about 20 years ago. They were just starting out and I backed them with my money. The could of easily failed or got bought out. I run a trading strategy on the stock index futures.

There is no one best solution, it all depends on what programming language you know or want to learn or if you only want to trade without programming

there are many good platforms (including NT), the problem is the programming language. I hired a programmer to convert one of my TradeStation strategies for the course (2 lines of code) to MT4 and it bloated to +60 lines of code, 4 versions to get it to work, and I couldn't even read it. Tradestation platform is free, quality free data, good robust back testing engine, and with Multicharts you get same language with good portfolio testing. Amibroker is even better engine, but still a new language to learn, Other platforms has to offer double the benefits to compete with easy language. I would rather learn Python instead of another proprietary language

Just want to make sure that if you have trading strategies in MC and want to start trading them live, will you be able to link them to Tradestation for trading?

You cant trade MC strategies in your Tradestation account, but you can trade MC strategies using tradestation data as data provider

just know that no platform is perfect. MC has its own issues, but it's trumps TS with its portfolio trader
