3 жыл бұрынWe aren't trading combines, but a lot of farmers are. Hot hay makes me nervous that the stack could catch on fire. We thought the snowmobile was fixed but we were wrong. Finish up the video with sled rides with the girls and working on mounting my elk.

Nothing beats the sling on a car hood, it whizzing, if you want to add a flavor of excitement.. snowballs can fire from a supp air potato gun. Direct hits 10 pts, hitting driver 5 pts, you win if you dismount the rider.

my neighbors growing up had a 6 wheel atv thingie that had the water jet engine too... they used to pull about 4 or 5 sleds behind it and like 5 or 6 people in it!!! was a blast... I got to enjoy the blizzard of 78 in full on sledddin mode!!! :) ...for more than a FEW days, the only vehicles on the roads out were we were were sleds and peoples 4x4's that had full sno plows......

@@JC-uq5gi I lived south if Indianapolis in Indiana.... we had *several* feet... shut down pretty much everything for 2 weeks... big thing back in the 70s ... only thing that shut down back then was gas stations that ran outta gas lol eeekkk... 1

I can't believe it took me this long to find this channel. In a attempt to avoid giving out exact locations on the internet I'm from your community. I work 5 miles north of your yard. I take trucks to the same elevator and we deal with the same issues. My stepmother is the school cook and my old man is the one that took over running the road grader. Awesome to see some local stuff out there broadcasted to the world. Today's tasks is fixing truck tires to get ready to hual hay. Keep it up ill be watching.

Love the sledding part lol brings back memories of life on my uncle's ranch in SE corner of Montana. We used to hook up to an old car hood and take turns pulling each other. Good times lol I also had a dog at the time who didn't like me being on the hood and would run along side and try to pull me off lol great video guys and God bless

glad you figured out the snowmobile issue. I would still be scratching my head. Pretty neat to be brought along to see the process of finding what was wrong. Love the bull antlers. congrats again on getting a nice one.

I remember in the 80's and 90's pulling a toboggan behind our three and four wheeler on the farm. The best was going fast around the corner and swinging far to the outside and trying not to fall off.

We had a very wet summer at the ranch one year, and thankfully it is an all grass place. I think I turned it 3-4 times before we just had to stack it. The foreman used water softener salt in the stack, all loose hay, as he built the stacks. It worked, as we only found one ash pocket in the half dozen stacks we treated. Thankfully we had several stacks of good Timothy for the heavy cows.

should have put some of old grain bags as trarp over that stack and put old tires to hold them in place like they do with silage.

Make sure the throttle is going to idle for sure. If the cable gets a little sticky when its really cold you have to help it a little under the hood. Now watching more i see that's not the problem:)

if the throttle cable sticks the switch in the lever will shut it down. just when you let off the throttle.

Don’t know about Montana but here in Central East Alberta, doesn’t really matter what color of combine, it who gives best service. Where I live John Deere is prevalent, but 40 miles away it’s Case

my old SKIDO was used and old when we got it late 60s or early 70s seemed we couldnot keep it running hated snomobiles ever since pushed or pulled more than rode it

I inherited my Dad's old Yamaha Enticer at 9 yrs old. 340cc SHORT track. Very prone to getting stuck. I t-boned a corner post with it at 30-35...that pretty much ended my sledding for a while. Lol. I just super manned over the windshield and rolled a few times. The sled was dead. Lol. Perfect square indent into the engine. Lol. Phazers were the cats meow at that time. Then an Indy 650. I haven't ridden one since they changed the balance on em. Or a long track. You should try one now. I guess they're pretty spectacular machines...?

Tony the reason guys are buying red combines is because they want to start using cover crops but don’t want to run a seeder over it after the field is combined so they thought a red combine would do the job😂

I haven't look at snowmobiles for so long I don't even know what's out there for models anymore. I haven't rode the King Cat since 2016 I bet.

I can't speak for Mr Fast but probably to mix lower quality hay with better to reduce sorting and waste

Yes cows will eat lower quality hay if its ground. They will pick though the bales if you feed them whole.

The regulator seems to be bad. The pump is pushing over 50 psi but the regulator is by passing to much. I ordered one today!

Maybe that red thing is a Montana thing,,,, I can drive 4 hours in any direction where I’m at and I know of one farmer that has red tractors. And they are old magnums. The closest case dealer is in Lubbock. There used to be more 20 years ago. It’s all mean green now.

Ok, you can't just show that whitetail rack at the end and not give us at least a brief version of the hunt. Elk head looks very good, nice and white.

The whitetails I have were sound during planting and cleaned up. So far I have only shot mule deer.

So far I have been lucky. Most of the hay goes out to Minnesota to a dairy.

@@vincefallon3861 it will only get hot if there's oxygen, just like anything in a pile. You eliminate the oxygen by packing and covering it. Gain value that way

My father ran red combines for 3 decades before retiring. Almost never had a problem,simple and easy to fix and get parts.
