Nice video. At least you could get everything out of goop. Long time ago when I was in College in Moscow Idaho and part of the volunteer fire department. One day one of the rural firefighters told us a story. He was a foreman on a farm cooperative. An individual drove the new 8 tire steiger into a marsh with cattails and just buried the tractor. They had to borrow a D-8 cat to help pull it out.

Hi Mate..🇦🇺🚜🇺🇸 Nice recovery on the drill, nothing worse than getting bogged... Tracks are nice and all, but not nice when it comes to muddy fields.. Your right on the inoculant, it does have a short shelf life. All forms of inoculant carry live cells of rhizobia and must be stored correctly to preserve high numbers. The shelf life of these products varies from several weeks in the case of some pre-coated seeds to three years for the freeze dried powder.

What's your total acreage? We're basically a one man and helper operation farming around 1500 acres in North Carolina. Fields run from 3 acres to 20 on average, Move, move, move is our life! Our largest farm is approximately 100 acres and that's in 3-4 parcels. Wouldn't know how to operate in those 300 acre fields! But would love to try!!

@@FastAgMontana We didn't even get a real snow. We usually will get at least one that will be over a foot deep. No significant moisture here since August. People are talking about selling their cattle soon. We rely on a lake for watering farms in this district, and it is not going to make it through the summer without some runoff. That being said, I enjoy watching your videos. Keep safe.

Hey Tony love the channel!! Maybe its just me as I am a bit slow haha but it took me a bit to understand @9:05 when you were explaining the tiger stripes. I noticed those as well on previous videos and wondering what i was exactly looking at. I thought I would just comment for the other "slow" people out there lol. Please correct me if I am wrong, but because the planter is lining up with the previous crop stubble exactly every couple of feet, due to the slight offset angle while planting, the seeder shanks are digging up or removing that stubble for a few feet causing the ground to look bare in those spots?

On your bag roller, why not using wood square and then square shaft to drive. Then you would have to make a new wood piece every time. But the actual drive shaft would pull out pretty easy. Same theory of a telescoping pto shaft. 😉
