In this video, the 2nd in my new series, we cover simple truths about the market. Such as how the market moves, the importance of understanding algorithmic trading and aggregations. Then, finally how we can use that to read a price chart.
After watching you should have a rudimentary understanding of how we identify participation groups by price and time. We will build upon the content covered here in every video going forward!

I think that the STRAT is the only logical system out there. It is easy to understand, once you get it. My struggle is to hold winners and cut loosers fast, as I usualy do the oposite. I am right more than not with prediction, but psychology gets me still. Been changing system and eventualy returned to STRAT. The STRAT works for sure! If not, the problem sticks between traders ears! Looking forward for the next videos. Great job Alex, keep it going and thank you for your contribution. Greetings from Slovenia.

Alex, Excellent video. I’ve tried learning the Strat before, but have given up. Until now. Loving this series, Alex. When to take an inside bar clarification helped in this video. I was always looking to take the inside when it was further away from the mother bar, thinking that was giving me more magnitude. Could you shed light on magnitude vs the concept you taught in this video (time stamp 17:03)

Really enjoying this series Alex. I'm sure you'll expand on this in a later video but could you provide a bit more detail on the inside bar breakout setup (Inside n Up/Down) vs an inside bar Rev Strat setup? Obviously you don't just trade every inside bar breakout but I'm a bit unclear on why you take some inside bar breakouts and then for others you would wait for a failure of the breakout and trade the Rev Strat going the other way. Cheers

Patience. The answer is in the next video. Just make sure you understand that an inside bar setup is a consolidation break out and a rev Strat is a failure of that break out.

Why at 2:28 say that broadening formations are the only pattern that can happen because it is the pattern of price discovery itself? I know about broadening formations but I also see their opposite - narrowing formations happening. And BFs are ranging patterns but the markets also has trending patterns up or down.

Ive been struggling with where to place my stops. I dont know If i shuold place it at the low of the previous candle, or the 50% retracement of the previous candle. The 50% retracement will give me a better risk to reward but Im more likely to get stopped out then reverse back in the direction i wanted. Any tips or advice?

"Ignore the wicks"??? A little misrepresentation here. I think you may be getting tripped up by the verbiage. The wicks do the damage is what I hear, not ignore them. Still love what you are saying but try understanding there are a lot of ways traders profit besides ICT or Strat. ICT and Strat just recognize symptoms in the market and capitalize on them. Neither are the cause of price action. Just think of cholesterol and how most MDs are taught regarding it, then do a little research. Price action is like cholesterol numbers and common knowledge accepts a certain bias which lowers the number but creates other problems (see Statin side effects). My goal here is learning how Strat and ICT can work together to produce a more accurate understanding of underlying cause. Also see a lot of Wycoff and Steve Bigalow. LOL TMI, I know... Hahaha you’re not wrong I’ve just been lazy, I don’t use windows updates because they screw with all my drivers every time but have had a couple comments on twitter about it will be fixed in the next one.

@@AlexsOptions LOL, I noticed because I am an IT guy and all my damn servers in my test lab have the same thing on them. And yes, MSFT is AWFUL with their buggy updates. We lag 3 mos behind because it's so bad.
