I don’t think the Lakers should trade for Zach Lavine yes they could use another shot creator but LeBron is still playing at a high level and Anthony Davis at his best can play like a top 5 or top ten player in the game and I still think it’s to early judge the Lakers offense plus you would have 3 injury prone players

I think Orlando would be a good landing spot for LaVine. He would give them vet leadership and could be the #2 to Banchero. Suggs is such a good defender, he’d be able to cover Zach’s deficiencies on that end. I just can’t see any of the contenders trading for him. Boston, Denver, Milwaukee and Dallas don’t need him. The Heat would surely have to give up Herro and picks for him which I can’t see. Maxey is breaking out for the 76ers and they’d be silly to take touches away from him. The Lakers don’t have many assets or picks to trade and I just can’t see the Bulls being enticed with anything they have to offer.

The Knicks will be on the top of that list of likely teams, although they’ve been smarter lately. The Lakers are a possibility. I think the Heat or the Sixers are too smart to trade big assets for Lavine and that contract.

@@jtwilliams8895 I’m honestly hoping for some 1st rounders, don’t think the bulls should mind taking on big salaries considering they aren’t gonna be competitive for a while. Hoping they trade Demar and Vuc as well, but our front office is as incompetent as anu

Top 5 players so far based on perfomance only .not their name like nba fans seem to think . Jokic ,embiid ,SGA ,curry , Scottie Barnes .. best defenive playes are scottie barnes and chet at +3.2(adjusted for who was on the floor with them and against them

I agree with that Tatum take... In terms of the MVP race, and considering only the top 5 to be realistic players that could win the award, I think that Jokic, Embiid, Luka, Giannis and Halliburton are ahead of Tatum.

I don’t believe the Lakers should trade for Lavine. The Lakers need another playmaker, and I mean a TRUE playmaker. Someone like a Jalen Brunson/CP3 type.

Hi there, new to basketball and missed your community post to ask (maybe next time). Do you think a 3-team LaVine trade between Bulls-Sixers-Raptors would make sense for the Raptors? Let me explain: Raptors trading OG Anunoby or Pascal Siakham (depending on who is less willing to resign in Toronto) to 76ers and using the assets + maybe more pics to acquire LaVine from the Bulls. TLDR - Raptors getting a signed star for a star that is going to leave and replacing any of the 2 with Barnes and LaVine as the new SG 76ers trading for another star that would fit with the team and probably resign to contend Bulls blowing it up and acquiring future assets for a disgruntled star I dont personally see a fit with LaVine in PHI or MIA, so I was trying to come up with a team different than LAL Thanks for your answer! :D

I don't get people seeing LaVine to Lakers as a good idea. Basically he is the same player archetype as Russ, and trading in him would again cost Lakers all of their squad debth. Do the Lakers fans really want to revisit the Russ experiment again?

@@konzza the biggest difference is Zach can be used off ball if given Yk the right situation he’s a scorer where Russ is an play maker

@@snupedummy I do agree that LaVine can be used also off the ball, at least into a bigger extent than Russ, but LaVine is also highly ball dominant player. LaVine is also better outside shooter and floor spacer than Russ, so does that going for him aswell. That being said, i still see more similarities between LaVine and Russ than actual differences. Also getting LaVine would cost Lakers serious squad debth and future draft picks, to make the trade package work for Bulls.

He was never that good in that championship teams weren't as familiar with his game once the teams adapted he struggled. He was never that efficient playing along with proper spacing in the warriors so declining in the wizards is not surprising whatsoever.

Herro and Lavine play the exact same way. Herro is better at everything besides scoring. And Lavine cost 10m more. Herro is also 6 years younger. This is not a good trade

Herro always gets hurts during the regular season + playoffs too so the guy gets paid alot money yet can’t stay healthy to be available and when he does play in playoffs he’s averages have dropped post bubble. Lavine a bitter fit he’s more healthier than herro and the offensive star scorer they need to increase their offense and they’ll have the firepower to compete against teams in the west.

Don't disagree about Jokic being the MVP frontrunner but saying Tatum doesn't at least belong in those conversations is dumb. You talk abt impact and how the celtics can win without him, but he still has the best +/- in the entire nba, meaning the celtics actually ARE significantly better with him on the court. I get its fun for content creators to say Tatum still can't be the top player on a championship team but ur reasoning for him not being in MVP convos is clearly inaccurate and generally ignorant of basic stats.

Right he doesn’t deserve it because the Celtics can win without him and the Celtics are stacked is honestly insane🤣 Tatum had the most points last year, single handedly sent Philly home and there’s not many people better then him when he’s on. He’s also improved as a defender. Tatum isn’t forced into MVP conversations he’s given his flowers. Truly bad take.

I agree to some extent. He belongs in the conversation if only because his team ranks at the top of the league right now. But his game is flawed still, at least if you compare it with Jokic‘ game.

@@lakritz1987Sure, that's why I'd still put Jokic as MVP, but I'd say his game is no less flawed right now than Luka's and at least so far we've seen him beat Embiid without his 2 best teammates so I can't put Embiid above him either. Imo he should be hovering around 2nd-3rd

Bulls would have to give up too much to get Lavine and honestly he’s not a big enough upgrade over Herro to justify the loss of assets. Unless Miami tries to go after Lavinev and Caruso I just don’t see it

One day people will learn you can’t just put multiple big name players on the same team and assume the star power will overcome fit and chemistry issues. Lavine in Philly would be a clear mistake
