Good choice it's an awesome bike! I love my ktm 300xc but I seem to have more fun on the yz... however the 300 is definitely easier to ride in hard terrain!

@@utmx I just rode my new 250fx, yeah it's a handful on the rocks compared to the te. I could ride the te all day, I was done after 1hr of med pace on the 250. I was significantly faster on the te150i, the te on the pipe is just as powerful and out climbs the 250fx for sure. The 250fx is extremely similar to my 2012 kx450f on the trails other than less power and having the short 1st gear. The kx 450 has a Tokyo mods woods tune, with additional timing pulled, much better low end throttle control than the 250fx. For me, the fx suspension needs work, needs a throttle cam or some other way to create some exponential in the throttle response so the power isn't so choppy on rough terrain. I feel like a stepped way back in technology and comfort trading the te150 off for this new 250fx, but it runs properly, and that's more than I can say about the te150. Unfortunately I am already thinking about trading it off already, it's just to similar to riding the kx450f I already have. I prefer the softer suspension and off pipe power delivery of the ktm 2 strokes, probably going to end up on a 250i.

Ah I'm so torn! I can't decide! I wish I could have both haha. Not gonna lie I think I enjoy the fx more. Buuuut the 300 is easier to ride especially in rough terrain!

I've never switched between the different maps! When I buy one I'll mess around and see if I can feel a difference! Have you downloaded any new maps? I hear there's some cool ones you can either copy or download from online!

@@utmx No I haven't downloaded any new maps I just used the ones that came with my bike but you gotta be careful because I already found my spark plug because it was running too rich because I didn't set the mapping correctly

That suspension is like celestial glory haha amazing!

It was on a more mild mode. You can actually do unlimited different maps on this bike. I own it now. You can make your own maps or download other people's maps. And you can have 2 loaded to the bike at a time!

I have a 21 yz250f and it has crazy bite, the gearing is a tad different but same engine, from 1-3 in most of the tracks your riding a stab of the throttle will lift the front wheel. 4 strokes are known for being more bitey down low compared to the 2 strokes. But of course its not going to feel it when your laboring it that much.

@slowmomma7222 the motocross 250 feels quite a bit more snappy to me than the fx does!

I ended up keeping both... I love them both to much haha

First time riding it. Used to my 300 where I only need 3rd gear haha

We call this desert single track. Mt single track is definitely different. I hope to get it up in the Mt soon

It can definitely fly! But it doesn't have that throttle hit of the 300 2 stroke!

I've also never tried the different modes from the power tuning app
