Hey Splitsie, it might be worth dropping the temperature of oxygen to 15 or 20 degrees... Your suit wouldn't have to use so much oxy to cool itself down, so the waste tank wouldn't fill up so quickly.

Hey Splitsie, I was mentioning this on Your stream but You might missed it. You do not need heavy solar panels for powering in venus - normal ones and standard (iron/steel) windows will work. Wall/windows are 100 or 200 Kpa rated, means they will break if pressure difference is above that. So you can't vent that room. You also can't keep it enclosed as it will self ignite. So youneed to vent it but You also need to keep it close on weather event as if not, it will get trashed. Wents will be too slow and too complex (and digital valve is too expensive) - add doors. Then place weather station and some IC code and script it to close (and keep closing) those doors when weather event is scheduled and happening, while keep open when weather is clear. This way You get solar and it's protected. Also, first time I was writing this comment.... got power outage in home :D #irony :)

Also a glass enclosure doesn't have to be completely evacuated, it just needs to be slightly different pressure from outside to prevent storm damage (a limitation of the design they came up with). That design choice is quite obnoxious as the safest and most logical design in real life would be one that's exactly the same pressure inside as out, with a safety valve to allow pressure equalization to protect against gas pressure increases from greenhouse effects. You could make such a thing in the game by just slapping a wall vent on the box...but since they chose to use pressure to delineate safe environments from unsafe ones, that would make the enclosure's interior effectively "outside" with disastrous consequences.

Passive Vents do count as part of a pipe network/pipe, so they can be placed immediately adjacent to other things and will work just fine.

Systems Engineering, not Chemical Engineering. I have one word for you Splitsie, METERS. Put gas meters and liquid meters on your critical pipes. Gives you visual readings instantly without the Atmo Tablet. Wont give you composition, but will pressure and I believe temperature now. Another idea. You have a pipe running through your furnace airlock that contains 30deg O2. Why not put a powered vent connected to that to pull into the airlock o2 so you can breathe to eat and drink, then suck it back into the pipes when you are done. Sure. youll get a bit of CO2 in the line, but your suit filters will handle that alright.

On the topic of the feathered menace - Not sure how well it would work in the case of australian terrorbirds, but on this side of the globe some of us use old CDs freely dangling from a piece of string. The randomly moving reflected light does surprisingly well at scaring even the more intelligent birds like crows away.

I know building a surface greenhouse on Venus is asking to spend ridiculous amounts of energy on cooling, but is the surface heat due to convection or radiation? If it's radiation, could you build your theoretical greenhouse in a trench along the sun's pathway and make a double-roof? Basically, from bottom to top you have Trench floor, walls, glass ceiling, 2nd floor walls, and a 2nd floor glass ceiling that just comes out of the surface. The trench-floor area has the needed atmosphere to raise plants and turn cool CO2 into O2, but the 2nd floor is sealed and held at vacuum to prevent heat from convecting from venus's atmosphere.

Hurt to watch 50-60 mol of O2 burned with the volatile gas...And it looks like the vent in that room is feeding into the O2 filter output, not the input line, which means any O2 it grabs from venting the waste tank is going into the tanks instead of being pulled out by the filter...

if you make a vacuum chamber between two glasses above the greenhouse, you can give them natural sunlight without transferring the surrounding temperature to the greenhouse

I don’t know what audio editing you did in post for the VOD but it almost seems like with a noise gate filter on your mic the birds would be tuned out and maybe also some acoustic paneling on your walls and windows for added absorption? Solar power is still the better option on Venus, but Wind is viable for it's constant input so great for backup power (just be careful with overloads during storms) Not even the large wind turbines outproduce solar on Venus, but they are more viable than they were on mars.

Wind generators dont work so well in not so dense air like on venus. You might need to make a field full of them like 30-40 or maybe more or them to get rid of your coal dependancy

Make a generator room for your coal generator and have a storage and shute to feed coal to the generator from the storage unit
