Varanasi Street Food Tour - Day 8
We had the most amazing street food of Varanasi at Mallu Pakodiwala, which is famous for it NON VEG keeme ki pakodiyan. It was indeed a hidden gem in Varanasi, India.
We were invited by a 300 year old Ansari family of Banaras whose a part had migrated to Karachi, Pakistan in 1947. We feasted on the traditional NON VEG food of Banaras. We visited the Alaipura/ Kamalpura / Badi Bazaar area, where this Ansari family has carried forward the tradition of weaving the most beautiful Banarasi Saree since 10 generation.
We had CHAMPARAN Chicken, Palak Chicken which was a family recipe. We tasted for dinner the non veg food of Banaras ie. Pasanda, Shami Kabab and Arhar ki Dal accompanied by ras malai, chene ka ragulla and gajar ka halwa for dessert.
Indeed Varanasi is know for the best Banarasi Sweets.
We also visited the Zari King of Banaras whose family has been in the art of making real zari since 100 years now. We saw the whole process of how an authentic Banarasi Saree is make in the bustling whole sale banarasi Saree market of Badi bazar.

I'm From Pakistan. My great grandgrand father was a businessman in Banaras, his sons (my granddad and his brothers) later migrated. I have been to India but not Banaras unfortunately.. If anyone from Banaras can confirm that if Haji building is still intact or gone. It was our residence. He used to have Clothing and Jewelry's business. Thanks for showing this great city. I wish I can visit it once in my life.

I absolutely loved the narration in this video! The narrator's soothing voice and perfect pacing really drew me in and kept me engaged throughout the entire video. Netflix , Nat Geo ,Discovery will sign you someday for their documentary. From soothing voice to poetic dialogue everything is top notch. You remind me of golden era of DD national documentaries days of 90s , so nostalgic. I will suggest go to Odisha someday for Cuttack and Puri dishes which are the inspiration for most of the popular Bengali cuisine.

Gauss Bazaz - I thought the video was still to go on and on. I have seen many food videos, but must admit your videos keeps me captivated from start to finish. At times I feel the video should never end. You are an ABSOLUTE GENIUS. Your style of naration, diction, vocabulary and the mnner in which you move from one phase to another is seamless. For the first time I learnt about keema pakoda and felt salivated and hungry. Your knowledge of food adds flavour to the naration. I loved this episode - it was absolutely fabulous. I learnt so much about the Banarasi Saree and its history as I always wondered why these sarees which adorn our women and make them look so beautiful, are so expensive and at the same time affordable. Keep making such wonderful videos. I have never visited Banaras, but the city is now on my bucket list.

It is needless to say your videos are simply awesome and not comparable to any videos of various vloggers. You don't create videos, you create memories for people in those intricately woven stories that you tell. I feel your real talent lies in your awesome choice of words and storytelling. I have strong advice, that you later convert all these vlogs on Varanasi into a book called "Varanasi from my eyes". You already have the text ready to a large extent, would need some more work, but people would love it and your work would probably get the appreciation and acknowledgement that it deserves. You may also consider writing other story books/ novels, if that interests you, I think you would do great.

I just love your videos. Each episode is a work of art, with such beautiful and meaningful narration in such a soothing voice, photography that brings the place, people, the food etc to life, the video unraveling the book and corner of the place that is mostly not yet discovered by other vloggers. I work in a textile Industry in Karachi. And I cross Banaras(Area in Karachi) everyday. Us K Bilkul Sath Aik area hai jisko Orangi Town khetay hai. Orangi Town me jitnay b log 1947 me banaras se aye Wo rehtay hai. And they are still manufacturing banarsi Sarris here. It was not just a vlog but an emotional ride. Keep doing this amazing work. Lot of love from Karachi, Pakistan❤
