Trail highlights: overland and camping in Laurel lakes, Mammoth California August 2020

hello youtube, here is another "trail highlights". This time i visited Laurel lakes, California to do some light offroading, and to find a scenic camp spot. Just like the video i did for monache meadows, i will include:
1. general terrain of the trail
2. difficult parts/what to look out for
3. camp sites and conditions

Looks amazing 👌 I was there last year but we never made it my friend Jeep broke down the first 30 mins of the trail lol & my Silverado was not equipped with recovery gear 😭😭

Took a trip up there in my Tacoma 4x4. Let my local buddy drive...its a bit scary especially that last hair pin turn. Put up a tent on a lil peninsula in the lake. Left our food in shell in truck. I set the alarm and late at night a bear set the alarm off. I could hear him walking all over the shale rocks....buddy had a 300-06 rifle but wasnt worried. Longest night of my life, I couldnt sleep a wink!

Great video. Do you think a Raptor would make it through that trail safely? Or is it to narrow? Not worried about scratches just the width to remain safely on the trail. Thanks for any info?

So you should decrease the tire pressure on dirt roads? By how many percent? At Costco they always pump them up above the recommended PSI

Is it possible to traverse on this trail with a stock Toyota Landcruiser???? Do i need serious modifications to my Landcruiser to travel this trail????
