Hey everybody, and welcome to the latest addition of ZFX Trailer Mash-Ups!
On one side, we've got the immensely-entertaining trailer for Warner Bros. and DC's "Suicide Squad". And on the other side, the always-ready-to-be-mashed-up video game franchise "Mass Effect" from Bioware.
If you couldn't tell from my Guardians of the Galaxy mash-up, I'm a big fan of Mass Effect. And like that video, I've sprinkled a few fan-friendly moments throughout. Unlike my last video however, I've gone all the way to provide the ultimate video game/film crossover. No more copy/pasting audio from the movie onto video game footage. I've gone through the entirety of Mass Effect 2 to record footage and audio directly from the game, in order to provide the highest possible quality viewing experience for you, the fans (well, short of Bioware making the video themselves).
This time I didn't try to match the trailers shot-for-shot, but rather "beat-for-beat." Preserving the spirit of the Suicide Squad trailer, while still giving it that classic Mass Effect flair.

Unfortunately the renegade options require losing the content entirely (No Garrus in ME3 vs having Garrus in ME3 or getting a supermarket brand quality character (Padok Wiks vs Mordin)

You can pretty much guarantee that eventually we'll get a fully fledged from the ground up remake of the trilogy like Crash and Spyro for the PS1. It'll obviously take about ten or twenty years, but to be honest it's all I'm living for right now.

I have had this on loop for the last 20 minutes ..mostly because Queen is like bacon, you can never have enough. But added with Mass effect that's like Deep Fried Bacon with Cheese. I love it

really liked grunt's line about 'not much point'. the pacing for the joke, and the sheer pun it's self was just perfectly placed. great work. :)

Thank you! My favorite thing about that scene is that's not how the dialogue plays out in the game. It's actually combining two separate conversations with Grunt. 1. "Less than a finger deep to sever your spine. You're soft. Salarians, Asari, all soft. Quarians, not so much. Turians, you have to work the blade, I guess. *Don't see much point to it, though. Heh, much point. Ah, never mind*." 2. "*I'd never stab you in the back, Shepard*. Warriors like you and me - straight to the face. (beat) Kidding, kidding! While editing the trailer I couldn't decide which conversation to use, then quite by accident I realized I could combine them and it would still make sense. The first time I played back the scene I laughed aloud. That's when I knew I'd made the right decision.

This was beyond fantastic and just makes me want to see a live action ME that much more. If I had one criticism, though, it's that Tali, Samara, Joker/EDI, and Miranda all deserved a bit more screen time. Other than that, it was superb. But fuck Jacob. Glad he was kept out. Lol.

YES! Took me a second to realize that the bit at the end was Shepard audio from elsewhen and the responses were spliced from earlier scenes, but it works!
